Liked: Location, Very quiet and peaceful site with outstanding views. Lovely enclosed dog field on site with walks also from site. Met the owners who were very pleasant and with local knowledge. Definitely would come back and stay longer. The new pods look amazing. Highly recommend staying here.

Liked: A very well managed site with a friendly host. All pitches have a water tap and grey waste drain. A quiet location with excellent views but close to Stirling and not too far from Edinburgh. Now adults only.

Liked: Very spacious pitch. The shower hut is a great idea, and very clean. Great views to the mountains in the distance. The owner came to see us, to check everything was ok. The dog exercise field was also good.

Liked: We used this site for an overnight stop. Our host Lynn could not have been more helpful when we arrived. The site was beautifully presented and quiet with basic but functional showers and toilets which were really clean. We would recommend this site.

From the manager: Thank you for your review and that you would recommend it to friends and visit again. However it is a bit harsh leaving and overall score of 2 for not having laundry facilities since the campsite is not advertised as having any.

Your main issue around here (and it’s a good problem to have…) will be deciding what to do first. Perhaps it’ll be a trip to Glasgow (35 minutes’ drive) to stroll through the West End, visit Glasgow Science Centre or admire the artwork at Kelvingrove Art Gallery and Museum? Or maybe city life on a slightly smaller scale in Stirling (25 minutes), where you can visit the castle and National Wallace Monument? Sticking to the open air you may like to view the huge outdoor artwork known as The Kelpies (20 minutes) or marvel at the Falkirk Wheel (25 minutes), Scotland’s only rotating boat lift. There’s also the option of a good walk or bike ride in Loch Lomond & The Trossachs National Park (40 minutes) or following in the footsteps of the world’s best golfers at Gleneagles (40 minutes).
