Camping pod

Liked: Good situation and view. Handy little campsite. We stayed in a pod and found it very comfortable.

Disliked: Could have done with clearer guidance about how everything in the pod worked. Also felt the toilet block was a bit small and cramped for a site that size.

Liked: Niet zo veel; het gras zag er goed uit.

Disliked: Douches veel te klein met zo’n vreselijk douchegordijn, wordt ook vies , slecht schoongemaakt. ‘s avonds afwassen moest met koud water, warm water was waarschijnlijk op.

Liked: Loved our stay in the camping pods. These were clean and really good value for money. They had good heating fridge microwave and kettle toaster. Would recommend and would return.

Liked: Lovely Location, pod good size, had good amenities in it, sleeping cushions comfortable.

Disliked: My pod smelt of cigarettes, broken freezer door, chipped wooden stairs outside, decking needed painting. It was just rather tired so not great value for price.

Liked: Shower block was immaculate. Freedom to pick your own parking space. Nice and quiet in the evenings. Highland Cows also grazing on the grass around the campsite which was lovely.

Camping pod

Liked: Campsite and toilets are very clean and in a good location. My key to my pod was in an envelope on the door with my name on as I got there after reception had closed which is a good idea and handy and a drop off box for leaving

Local attractions

Getting out to see the surroundings? There are lots of lovely walks to be done nearby, or you can hire bikes in Oban (10 minutes’ drive) for scenic cycle rides. Achnalarig Riding Stables (10 minutes) is another option, for pony and horse riding lessons or treks – or you might like to see what’s out at sea by joining a scuba trip from Puffin Dive Centre (five minutes’ walk). Once you’ve viewed Kerrera from your pitch, head up the road (five minutes’ drive) to board a ferry over to the island – there’s a great seven-mile walking trail that runs from the harbour and will show you some of the island’s best bits. For other islands, it’s a 10-minute drive to Oban harbour, where services run to Lismore, Mull, Iona and Coll as well as more far-flung destinations. Back on the mainland, you may like to stop by at Dunstaffnage Castle (20 minutes), the Green Shoots garden (15 minutes) and Cruachan Dam Visitor Centre (35 minutes) – and don't forget a dram at Oban Distillery (10 minutes)…

Bookings cannot be amended within 28 day(s) of arrival.
