- Luxury cabin five minutes’ drive from Kinlough in County Leitrim
- Tullan Strand surfing 10 minutes’ drive; Mullaghamore Head 20 minutes
- High-spec styling, fully equipped kitchen and private decking
You’ll be very, very happy indeed when you rock up to the luxury accommodation at Crusader Cabins, tucked into spectacular County Leitrim countryside with Arroo and Dartry mountain views. This bespoke cabin is all kitted out to an extremely high spec, with almost every conceivable comfort in place to make you feel thoroughly at home.
With stylish decoration and lots of cosy touches throughout, it has an ensuite bathroom, a double bedroom with ample storage and a spacious living area with cosy seating and Netflix on the TV. The kitchen comes equipped with all you need to prepare tasty meals, while the woodburner and radiators ensure that everyone is nice and cosy no matter what the weather is doing outside.
And talking about the weather, the cabin has its own private decking, so when it’s warm you can move outside for get-togethers à deux and alfresco meals with that backdrop of mountain vistas.
Should you need to buy in more provisions, Kinlough (five minutes’ drive) has a well-stocked supermarket. In the unlikely event that you fancy a change of scenery, there are also a couple of pubs and restaurants in the village.

Local attractions
Surfers can leap in the car and soon be out on the waves at Tullan Strand beach in Bundoran, or you can head for the links golf course or the Ferris wheel at Bundoran Adventure Park. You’re covered on rainy days too; just make straight for the waterslides and wave pool at Waterworld Bundoran (all 10 minutes’ drive).
Get the fishing rod out and try your luck at Breffni Pier Angling Centre (also 10 minutes), or walk wooded waterside trails from Lough Melvin Pier and Viewpoint (five minutes). There’s more easy walking to be had on the forest trail up to Fowley’s Falls (20 minutes), or hardcore types can cycle up the track to Glenaniff (two hours by bike) for views over County Leitrim to the Atlantic Ocean.
For more far-reaching views, drive a section of the spectacular coastal Wild Atlantic Way to Mullaghamore Head (20 minutes), a pretty seaside village with multi-coloured cottages overlooking the fishing harbour. Stop off for a bite to eat, and work off lunch with a hike along dramatic sea cliffs to the headland at Classiebawn Castle (a round trip of about an hour’s walk).
