If you're looking for a campsite off the beaten track yet a stones throw from civilisation then our small & friendly campsite will appeal to you!
Based in the hamlet of Kingdown in the village of Winford, part of the beautiful Chew Valley, it's one of the closest campsites to the centre of Bristol yet also in a handy position if you're looking for a fun and cheaper overnight alternative when flying from Bristol Airport.
Suitable for touring caravans, motorhomes, campervans and tents we now offer Luxury Bell tent accommodation from £60 per night. Why not start your holiday with a holiday, with our Glamp & Fly option from £80 a night.
With a view of the Mendip hills in the distance and steps away from Felton common nature reserve, it's great for wildlife spotting, walking, cycling, yet only a short drive to the surrounds of: Chew Valley Lake, Cheddar Gorge, Beaches of Clevedon & Weston Super- Mare and also The City of Bath... to name a few.
Campers can enjoy the freedom of pitching where they like in this family friendly camping field with no pitch restrictions.

Felton Common Nature reserve is the closest attraction being just steps from the camping field. Its 97.8 acres and made up of a mosaic of habitats from acidic and calcareous grassland to scrub and bracken which support a wide variety of plants, invertebrates and birds, its a wild natural space thats popular with walkers, horse-riders and a great place to let your dog or kids run wild!
Nestled just a few miles away from the Mendip Hills you really are spoilt for choice when it comes things to do and see. Whether it be caving or rock climbing in Cheddar to horse riding in the hills, the Mendip's is home to wild horses and goats and is thought to have some of the best cycle tracks in the south west.
Chew Valley & Blagdon lake are both just a 15 minutes drive from the campsite and one of the best places to fish locally for trout.
If your a fan of national trust sites then you will be sure to enjoy Tyntesfiled Estate. With its stone carved Mansion and perfectly manicured formal gardens theres plenty to see and do for the whole family. If your on a budget then the walk around the outside of the estate is free (dogs allowed) and there's even free den building and playgrounds nestled in the woods for the kids.
The city of Bristol is within an 8 mile easy reach, if you didn't want to drive you could catch the airport bus which runs every 10 minutes and can be accessed by foot from the campsite. Here you will find a vast selection of Shops, Bars, restaurants and visitor attractions like Brunel's suspension bridge, SS great Britain and Bristol zoo. The M shed museum and gallery is worth a look too!. Being home to Banksy feast your eyes on some amazing graffiti which colours various buildings and walls around the city.
The beaches of Weston- Super- Mare, Clevedon and Portishead are all within a 30 minute drive.
Wells (14 miles East ) is " England's smallest city". In this Historic market place you can walk the grounds of the 800 year old Cathedral. There's some lovely little boutique shops here and a great Saturday morning food Market.
not far from Wells (45 minutes from campsite ) you will find The City of Bath. There's no wonder why some well known films like Pride & Prejudice, Harry Potter, Dracula and Robin of Sherwood used this part of the world as a set! the village of Castle Combe is also thought to be 'England's Prettiest Village' ! The Kennett and Avon canal network is also stunning. You can hire boats on a daily basis from Dundas Aquaduct , have a champagne cruise aboard the uks oldest electric wooden launch ' The Lady Lena ' or have a coffee on board the café boat at Bathampton or perhaps hire a narrowboat and cruise to Bradford on Avon to sample some of the best of the west's Cream teas! The Caen Hill flight of 29 locks! between Wiltshire & Devizes is one of a kind.
