What customers say
Quiet rural escape near Bath/Bristol. Beautiful lakes, wildlife, friendly owners, clean facilities, BYO pitch. Some amenities basic, expect mud after rain, occasional cleanliness issues. Relaxing for a quiet getaway.

Hmmmmm…
Unpowered grass caravan site
Liked Hmmmmm
Disliked Not our cup of tea I’m afraid. The site carries a sign for the Camping and Caravanning Club, but doesn’t appear on their website, of which I’m a member (?!). I wasn’t sure if I was in the right place initially, as there was no-one to meet us and no bays marked out. The site has some caravans on it that are clearly residential. There was piles of building spoil everywhere. There was no flat ground and even with the ramps I carry, I’m not sure I could have got it level. I’m sure if you’re a keen fisherman and not bothered so much about the site, this would be fine, but not for us. To be honest, I didn’t stay. Drove away and found another site.

From the manager: Hi Jayne,
Thank you for taking the time to leave a review—we’re glad you found the shower and toilet facilities clean and appreciated having a level spot to camp on.
We’re sorry to hear the site didn’t quite meet your expectations in other areas. We aim to balance the natural setting with a relaxed camping layout, but we’ll definitely take your comments on spacing and upkeep as we continue to make improvements.
There is a bin and recycling area located next to the washing-up station, but we’ll look into how we can make signage and access clearer for future guests.
Thanks again for your visit, and we do appreciate your feedback.
Very convenient for an over night but a little hard to find
Unpowered grass tent or trailer tent site
Liked Very friendly and lovely site where we camped
Disliked Look out for goose poo and they could do with checking for toilet roll more often

From the manager: Hi Kate,
Thank you for your kind words—so glad to hear you found the site friendly and enjoyed your overnight stay!
You're right that we're a little tucked away - Google Maps is the best bet for finding us directly, and we’re always looking at how we can improve signage where possible.
We’ve got two lovely families of geese on site this year—it's been great to see them around, though they are unfortunately leaving behind a little mess! We’re keeping an eye on it and doing our best to manage the impact.
Thanks as well for the note on toilet roll - we’ll make sure to stay on top of checks during busy times.
We’d love to welcome you back again soon - thanks again for camping with us!
