Liked Site nicely kept and location behind the pub is excellent for those of us who like a pint.
Food was inviting and staff were friendly and efficient.
Disliked Deposit for use of small toilet block, not needed by us as we use own facilities but would have not been happy to pay returnable deposit fir access key.

From the manager: Thank you for your review.
We used to hand out keys but so many people didn't return them. We now charge a deposit, infact it costs us 50p every time we refund back onto their card.

Liked Staff make this place.
The pub is lovely with great staff and the food was fantastic. I am on a special medical diet and verry restricted as to what I can eat but the chef arranged to meet with me beforehand and created some lovely dishes for me - they went above and beyond. Quiet site with spacious pitches and clean.

Liked Quiet campsite, pub on site. Been staying here for a few years now and always like it and prices for camping are reasonable . Great location to visit clarkes village in street.
Disliked Showers need to be cleaned properly, loads of cobwebs etc. Food wasn't as good as usual. Fish batter wasn't cooked properly and still raw in places which is a shame. Portion sizes seem to have got smaller too

From the manager: Hi Michelle
The shower block is cleaned daily and checked regularly by the staff here. We all chip in to do it together to try and keep costs down to keep pitch prices affordable, some staff can be more thorough than others. Shame to hear about the diappointment with the fish and chips. People rave about the portion size and that it is always cooked from fresh! Not sure what happened there? It's always easier to deal with issues at the time rather than a few days after the event. I hope to see you again as you say you've been returning for years, Best wishes, Tom and team...
Nice relaxing weekend

Liked Good atmosphere, nice pizza, the toilets and shower always clean and tidy, we enjoyed the Friday night live band they was amazing, had two much alcohol, we all had a brilliant time, we brought 3 x T Shirts as it was for Alzheimer's, my mother-in-law had Alzheimers she passed away a few years ago, so it nice your raising money for that charity, we'll done
