What customers say
Highly-rated, budget-friendly spot. Owners are super welcoming. Great for climbing, walks, and Weymouth trips. Facilities are clean, if basic. Farm animals a hit with families. Quarry noise not a biggie for most.

Unpowered grass tent or trailer tent site (four person)
Liked A fantastic campground with clean toilets, close to a pub, a chip shop, a convenience store, several hiking trails, beaches and public transport links. The site has a smallholding next door where the kids can see an array of animals, which was a definite highlight of the trip.
The site is flat and spacious, with opportunities to buy logs and kindling for the on-site fire pits.
The owners were friendly and knowledgeable and checking in to the site was easy.
We highly recommend this site and will be visiting again soon!

Exactly as advertised; good value for money, great stay.
Unpowered grass tent or trailer tent site (four person)
Liked Simple, basic and fun stay; Weekend 2 days break away from the hustle bustle. Cheap and effective. The kids loved the animals, the rented fire pit was useful and the sites nearby are breathtaking. If you want basic and good value for your money, this was exactly advertised and I loved it. The kids did too. Thanks Andy!
Disliked The missus griped about being woken a little early by seagulls but you can’t hold that up as a negative.

Liked Exactly as advertised. Good location, basic facilities which are all you need for a weekend.
Disliked Pitches aren't level, and the ground is rather rocky.

Friendly owner, level ground
Unpowered grass motorhome site
Liked 1. The owner, Andy is a nice chap and pops onto the site regularly to ensure everyone is OK.
2. The price.
Disliked 1. Noise from resident's children whose houses back onto the site.
I'm not one to give negative comments, so will try to be constructive. The site wasn't what I was expecting. I expected a field on a farm, given as it's called Hallett's Farm. Yes, it is a field, but it's surrounded by housing. Not for us to revisit, but can't complain about the price and would be good for groups for a weekend get together as you can pitch up wherever you choose.

Great value campsite!
Unpowered grass tent or trailer tent site (two person)
Liked Great value for money. Very friendly team who were often on site to check everything was ok, and when they weren’t they were always easy to reach on the phone. Plenty of space. There were a mixture of larger groups and individuals/couples when we were there, but nothing disturbed us more than you’d expect.
Previous reviews mentioned a quarry causing noise - this did not cause us any issues over our two nights. Only noise beyond fellow campers was the animals next door.
Toilets were clean and stocked, plenty of drinking water available, and there was a great recycling station on site too. All you could need.
Disliked Nothing to dislike. It delivers what it promises. If you’re looking for more than a cheap field with a well maintained toilet block, you’re already not booking here.
