Liked Plenty of space. Nice quiet and pleasant site. Facilities are basic but adequate.

Disliked Had great difficulty contacting the owner on both telephone numbers (more than 10 attempts) and had to do our own detective work to figure out where the site actually was (Sat Nav only brings you so far). The actual location is not entirely obvious; up a steep, very uneven and unpaved track with no signage (do not try this in an average camper/motorhome with low-slung gas/water tanks - luckily we had a vehicle that didn't have this problem).

Kitchen facilities although we didn't need to use them, need proper clean.

We understand how frustrating it can be when you’re unable to reach someone, especially when trying to find your way. We did check our call logs and found two missed calls from your number, and my partner did not receive any calls. We’re sorry we missed your attempts—on that day, we were at a family celebration in an area with poor signal, which may have contributed to the difficulty. We always strive to be as responsive as possible and will continue to improve our availability for guests.

To help future visitors, we will now send a text with precise Google coordinates and contact details before arrival, so you can reach us more easily if needed.

Regarding the track, we regularly welcome campervans and motorhomes, including our own 7.2m, 3.8-tonne camper, and have had several guests with similar vehicles navigate the track without issue. However, we understand everyone’s vehicle is different and will work to make our signage clearer so guests can make the best choice for their setup.

Thank you also for your comments about the kitchen. While it hadn’t been used prior to your arrival, we agree that it can get dusty quickly in the countryside and will keep an extra eye on it. Our caretaker checked the site that evening, and the WC and shower were cleaned that day, but we’ll continue to ensure all facilities are up to standard.

Liked It was a very peaceful site, only us there to start with. Loads of space, one composting toilet and a shower.

Disliked The entry road was a bit rough. We managed it but others may have difficulty.
Could do with a new shower, I struggled to regulate the temperature and needs new shower head.

Liked Wonderful spot. Compost toilet but very clean

Liked Very friendly. Great view. Peaceful. Well kept, mown grass, flat pitches. Excellent shower, although shower head needs descaling! Compost loo clean and love the 'wee bale'. Kitchen area under cover and well stocked. Firepits available to use. Short flat cycle along old railway line into Blandford Forum, and plenty of other bridleways and footpaths in the area. We would definitely stay again! Note there is no chemical toilet waste disposal.

Liked Fabulous views, flat field, flexible check-in/out and friendly owners.

Disliked Lacking motorhome chemical waste disposal point. (Not a big problem for a ahort stay)

Liked Plenty of space, lovely views and friendly accommodating hosts who own the Top Field. Will definitely be returning with my children.

Liked Perfect, basic facilities. We'd been to Studland and the usual campervan campsites were busy, packed tight. We were delighted that this forced us to look a few more miles further afield to "Top Field" a little haven for a park up. Not allowed to get crowded by the owners. My partner and I are very grateful to find this place in a nice corner of the UK. Will be back. Hope to try wild swimming there next. Thank you so much for making this field available.

Liked The facilities were clean and easily accessible with a very good, warm shower and lots of walks in the area. 30-40 minute drive to the main attractions such as durdle door.

Disliked As many others have commented the road to the campsite was very stoney and uneven. Arriving at night we were instructed on the website to call on arrival however received no answer, luckily the campsite was quiet allowing us to enter ourselves and quickly pitch up our tent.

Liked We absolutely love sites like this....basic but with a loo and sink for washing up. The view was beautiful from both directions which is always a bonus
The kids all loved the outdoor shower and said it was very warm.
There was a gymnastic type mat and a goal and the kids were in absolute heaven. We used the fire pit and just sat and talked with the kids until half midnight...our kind of therapy ❤️
We will definitely be back.

Disliked The track up to the site makes you feel you might have taken the wrong route...trust the process! We have a Crafter and was fine going up and down it.
As there is one loo it could be tricky if it got busy, but there was only 4 other groups there so there was no issue for us.

Liked The people there were so friendly and helpful. We didn’t use the stove but having it there and available was great.
Fire pit was also very good and perfectly set up for us to have a small camp fire with the children.
