  • Adults-only site on a 25-acre family farm in west Dorset
  • West Bay beach 20 minutes' drive; half an hour to Lyme Regis
  • Footpaths running from the site; five minutes' drive from Beaminster
If your vision for your Dorset break is all country lanes, green views and fields dotted with farm animals, then you’ll be able to bring that picture to life with a stay at Willow Farm Camp Site. This peaceful adults-only site is part of a family-run farm where you'll be surrounded by about 25 acres of green fields that are diligently grazed by the resident sheep who will be your neighbours for the duration of your stay. The scenery here is gorgeous, taking in woodland and several lakes as well as the fields, and the lack of light pollution means the views are just as good after dark on a clear night. Perhaps unsurprisingly, this setting is a popular one with wildlife too – you may well see bats, deer and kingfishers around the farm or when setting off on local walks. Several paths lead from the farm, including one to Little Giant Wood, where you can follow a circular trail through the trees. In the village of Stoke Abbott, five minutes' drive away, there is a pub with very good food. Beaminster, also five minutes' drive away, has lots of cafés, restaurants, pubs and independent shops including a butcher where you can pick up top-notch local meat and cheese for your picnic sandwiches (made with bread from the town bakery, of course). Guests are permitted to create a barbecue on half-drum firepits.

What customers say

A peaceful, scenic gem with top owners. Praised for views, quiet, and clean facilities, though some find them basic but functional. Watch for ads and narrow lanes for big vehicles. A welcoming, tranquil escape many want to revisit.

Unpowered concrete and grass caravan site

Liked Very quiet and peaceful site with lovely views. Spotless facilities which were new. The washing up hut was great - it felt like being in someone's kitchen. Also, great communication with owners.

Disliked Nothing really.

Unpowered grass tent or trailer tent site

Liked So peaceful, with a lovely view of a neighbouring farm's sunflowers, and sheep (and you may spot deer or three in another field too).
You can choose your spot.
I felt very safe and even left my tent flap open for the whole night, to get the feeling of being under the stars.
A great short walk through a wood with a pretty stream to Stoke Abbott, a fascinatingly historical village.
Messages with the owners imparted a friendly, relaxed vibe.
I hope to return one day with more time to enjoy the local walks than I had on this occasion (1 night's stay).

Disliked The pitch I chose had a slight slope, which I only realised when I went to lie down, but it was solved by turning myself 180 degrees so that my head was a bit higher than my feet! After doing that I was no longer even aware of the slope.
There is no shower in the tent field area, but it seems you could pay extra to use the facilities of the hard-standing area. (I didn't, on this occasion). May I suggest a shower next to the toilets in the tent field, which could take coins or tokens?

From the manager: We’re so glad you enjoyed the camp site and would like to return 🤗
Regarding the showers.. there are 3 full bathrooms with showers for a small fee. And these are available to all campers at the site.
The fee just covers soap, cleaning, hot water & toilet rolls. And there’s a little hop over for the guests from the tent field to easily access them.
Hope this helps for future visits 🙂
All the best. Sharon and Tom x

Unpowered grass tent or trailer tent site

Liked A lovely quiet site on a farm, great facilities including a hot shower and washing up facilities. Nearby Beaminster was a 20 minute walk away with shops, pubs etc.
The field for tents is on a slope but there are flatter parts at the top near the washing up shed, we managed to get a nice flat bit. Plenty of space to spread out too, really nice spot!

Regarding a freezer… we don’t advertise one, and just have a fridge in the kitchen. I’m not sure we could have one but it’s a good idea.
