What customers say
A tranquil, tidy spot with friendly hosts. Basic facilities and EHU available. Enjoy the quiet, views, and proximity to Shaftesbury (uphill walk). Some tight pitches and gate lock issues noted; managers addressing these and thistles in field due to dry weather. Wider tracks and better gate access planned.

Liked Easy to book and great response from support
Disliked Unfortunate I had to cancel through a health issue just a few days before, and whilst the support was very considerate, as he was suffering the same issue, the owner was in no way sympathetic
Recommend to friends Visit again
From the manager: Dear Hamish,
I am so sorry you felt we were not sympathetic. We are incredibly sympathetic to the health issue, and can emphasis fully, as I am recovering from surgery, which has ment a cancelled family holiday and the loss of money because of this.
I was unfortunately only following the cancellation policy outlined on PitchUp.
“No refunds within 1 week of arrival date.
If you need to cancel or amend your booking, please give as much notice as possible so that someone else has the chance to book. You may wish to buy holiday insurance for cancellations and for your property/injury whilst away”
As you needed to cancel two days before your visit there was no refund and we were not able to fill your space.
We really do hope you are able to visit again when fully recovered. Please do get in contact at the time of booking to discuss.
Kind regards
Charlotte

Excellent site exactly as described

Liked Lovely site with plenty of space including three level hard standing places with mains hookup. The owners were very welcoming and helpful and provided ample wood for the fire pit we hired from them. There’s a waste deposit point, recycling and water point close to the hardstandings. It’s a steep half hour walk into Shrewsbury from the site
