Starlight 3 bedroom safari tent (basic)
Liked: The huts have almost everything you might need during the stay, so most of the gear we brought was not needed. Facilities are top notch too.
Disliked: (1) It’s noisy. A neighbour pitch had loud music all evening which is fine as we are all relaxing, but they didn’t switch it off until well after midnight after we asked them to. These places normally have policies and they need being enforced.
(2) It’s not secluded. Everyone is in everyone’s sight. Ok for some guys, but not my cup of tea.
(3) Lack of security. I woke up at midnight to find out gates were not shut/locked. I checked again at 6am and they were still open. Assuming that everyone sleeps in camps with no security - that’s a safety risk.
(4) Staff attitude - everyone was great but this one lady who came as we were packing at 11:10am and started complaining that check out was at 11:00 and we need to pay extra. We would be gone in 20 minutes anyway! She then proceeded to a demonstration of taking sheets off whilst our stuff was still lying around. Anyway great staff but this was ODD given that upon arrival they made it a point to charge us extra for early check in (by 2 hours) and didn’t bother passing this to the actual ground staff (same lady) who was just as nervous about this.

Starlight 3 bedroom safari tent (deluxe, hot tub)
Liked: Perfect place
We had the whole space to ourselves and we didn’t have to worry about being noisy.
The hot tub was lovely as it was such a cold evening .
Cold until you get into bed ( bring blankets )
The mattress was the best I’ve ever slept on not being my own
The owners were so lovely !
They checked in with us to see how it was before we left
We will be coming back next year for my friends hen do as a bigger group!
Highly highly recommend!!
Disliked: It’s not a dislike as I find if your camping of any kind your going to be cold
But the only thing I could say is it was cold before bed , the owner did mention putting in heating .
But it was so warm
And cosy when in bed !

Liked: Great scenery, nice location and lots of places to visit within easy reach. Well stocked mini supermarket 10 min drive away.
Owners were friendly and accommodating.
Bunk beds were comfy, overall great facilities.
Disliked: Dirt track almost a mile long to get to the camp- is full of potholes, so OK if you have an SUV/Jeep, but if you're bringing a smaller car, could wreck the undercarriage. This should perhaps be resurfaced, although understandably this is due to the nature of the location of the glamps which is set amongst land that is also used for other activities such as quad biking.

Safari tent (deluxe, hot tub)
Liked: The tent itself is incredible, so much space and it had 12 beds and 3 bedrooms so we were spoilt for choice. The kitchen area was well appointed and had all the essentials, the massive 4 burner BBQ was a brilliant addition also. Hot showers and a 8 person hot tub really made it a luxurious camping trip.
The setting was incredible with views over the Dorset countryside and we were only 20 minutes from the Weymouth coast. The hosts were absolutely fantastic and couldn’t do enough for us, so a huge thank you to them for making this a special trip. The camp is very remote but that’s is good thing, that being said the phone signal is great and we had 4G the whole time. My 4 yr old son said it was the “Best Holiday”holiday he’s ever been on, he was so excited and loved every minute. Sitting on the veranda, drinking wine snuggled under a blanket and watching the sun set, very special memories made. We will certainly be back in the future.
Disliked: The host did mention the road to the camp had some pot holes which were bigger than expected, but if you take it slow any vehicle will be fine. Would be great if there was a park for children to play on.
I would struggle to dislike anything else about Max Events, absolutely brilliant.

Liked: We had a wonderful 3 night stay.
*exceeded my expectations
*beautiful views over the countryside
*puts the glam in glamping
*hosts Jax and Phil were so accommodating and kind, they were wonderful.
Disliked: The tent we had didn't have any toilet facilities, (there are tents that do have their own). The facilities were a bit further than I would have liked. The walk there was over uneven ground, and it was very dark at night. My youngest daughter walked into a pole in the dark and hurt herself. It wasn't serious, but it could have been. If we'd had one of the tents which had it own bathroom facilities it would have been better. But it didn't detract from the fact that we had a wonderful stay and will probably come back.
