What customers say
Friendly staff, beautiful rural spot with cute animals (goats & alpacas!). Cosy vibe, handy shelter. Facilities are basic but clean. Some say toilets need work and it gets busy.

Unpowered grass campervan site
Liked The host was very friendly, the location was quiet.
Disliked Smelly as right next door to a cattle farm. Lots of flies. Toilet was minging. Shower head sprayed everywhere except on you. Shower cubicle needed cleaning. Hand washing station was washing up station. Whilst we understand the desire to be eco- friendly this is just squalid. Also wifi did not work.

Liked The set up, access and staff were amazing, everyone was very respecful, facilities were very well kept and the location in proxy to Weymouth and Isle of Portland was perfect

Some great elements, just worth fixing the sanitary items!
Unpowered grass tent site
Liked Lovely staff, sweet environment and our toddler loved the goats!
Fridge and power in cute day room were a lovely touch.
Disliked Toilets definitely need improvement, a choice between a composting loo and some (fairly revolting) builders porta-potties is completely inappropriate for children, and not great for adults either, definitely undermined the enjoyment of the trip.
Also consider a new nozzle for the shower - exactly the wrong angle, un-adjustable and odd diffuse sprinkler nozzle -> made our toddler scream the first time and me jump when it hit us in the eyes!

Unpowered grass tent site
Liked Really friendly host and lovely flat pitches...lucky us right next to the pygmy goats ❤️ handy to have an indoor seating area, which had fridges and charging points.
Offer experiences with the pygmy goats and alpacas.
Great location for easy access to Abbotsbury and Weymouth via public transport. Pub nearby.
Disliked The toilets, festival-style portaloos did not fair under the amount of users of the weekend.
Only 1 wash up sink so bit awkward if you want to brush your teeth if someone is doing the washing up

From the manager: Thank you for taking the time to leave your feedback. We’re genuinely sorry to hear that your stay didn’t meet your expectations.
We were disappointed that none of these concerns were brought to our attention during your stay, as we live on site and encourage guests to let us know immediately if there are any issues, so we can try and resolve them. Had we been informed, we would have happily re-cleaned the facilities, which we can guarnatee are throughly cleaned everyday, so you could have stayed elsewhere, investigated the Wi-Fi and done everything we could to resolve the problems. If we couldn’t have met your expectations, and had known at the time, we would also have discussed an appropriate refund or helped you make alternative arrangements to stay elsewhere.
As a small eco farm, our facilities and our environmentally conscious approach are described in our listing so guests know what to expect before booking, and on the confirmation email we share. . Being in the countryside, as a working small holding, next to alsp a working farm means that, at certain times of year and particularly during warm weather/ heatwave, flies and rural farm smells can be part of the environment. While we do everything we can to manage this, it is unfortunately part of staying in a rural location. However we have applied fly spray to our facilities and are regulary checking them.
Our portaloos are also due to be replaced and upgraded, this is all part of a small independent business growing adn one that motiors waste, so that it does not end up in the rivers and sea.
We always welcome constructive feedback and continuously work to improve, but we do wish we’d had the opportunity to address these concerns while you were here.

Loved the fairylights around the washing up area and cosy stable sitting room, made for a cosy feel.
Had a great time feeding and learning all about the Alpacas and goats. Would happily recommend as a quiet, off the beaten track farm stay.
