  • Spacious and comfortable site on the Hampshire/Dorset border
  • A 10-minute drive from beaches and 20 minutes from Bournemouth
  • Two miles from Bransgore village's pubs and food shops
Sitting in a green location between the New Forest National Park and the stunning south coast, Shoreline Escapes is a well-maintained site near Bransgore, close to the Dorset/Hampshire border. Located about two miles from the village centre, where there are pubs and food shops as well as other local amenities, this site is home to a small number of pitches for couples and families. The site is located in a rural setting, surrounded by country views and a laidback atmosphere. Well-kept portable toilet and shower facilities are available, and there's also a washing-up area for pots and pans. Shoreline Escapes welcomes well-behaved dogs (but please make sure they're kept under supervision and on leads at all times). Surrounded by so much countryside, you'll be treated to sounds like birdsong and smells like the fresh scent of forest air. There are lots of footpaths, bike trails and bridleways in the local area, especially in the New Forest, but with resorts like Bournemouth and Poole a few miles down the coast, it's equally tempting to treat yourself to a few days of just relaxing on the sand.

Bell tent (four person)

Liked: We stayed for one night with our daughter who is 13. We had a lovely time. The location is stunning - absolutely beautiful. There are things to do just a short drive, as well as shops and local pubs. The tents themselves are nice and fairly spacious and the beds are comfy. There is a BBQ outside for use, you just need to buy the charcoal. The toilets and showers are very clean. Our daughter loved the fact there were solar charged power banks for phones and other electrical devices - which was a lovely touch and a life saver if you have children with you! :) We will definitely return again.

Bell tent (three person)

Liked: Beautiful site with lovely glamping bell tents with some cute design touches. Clean and well organised. Each tent was provided with a picnic bench and BBQ. Hot showers! The tea and coffee station was a welcome touch too. Friendly and helpful staff. Really impressed with what they have created in a pop up glamping field and in their first year.

Disliked: When chatting to the management, the couple of things that would have improved our stay (some shelter, nicer toilets) are in the plan for next season.

From the manager: Many thanks for your positive feedback! We have indeed taken onboard all of our customers feedback and have big plans to improve the site ready for the next run coming up from July this year! We hope to see you again :)

Bell tent (three person)

Liked: Loved the whole experience! I got a really good deal on pitch up and got far more than I expected. The site is well organised, with everything you need for a peaceful getaway. The location is only 10 mins away from some really beautiful beaches. It’s only got 11 tents so the site feels quite small and quiet, which was just what I needed. Beautifully decorated bell tents, comfy beds already made up, plates and cups etc, a fire pit and bbq tripod, clean showers with shampoo and conditioner and body wash, clean loos and a free tea and coffee tent with hot water in the morning. Dogs are allowed, which is an added bonus. The owners are genuinely lovely people who have worked incredibly hard to get this pop up campsite off the ground. They were super helpful people and went out of their way to make my stay one of the best camping experiences I’ve had. I wish them every success!

Disliked: Suggestions rather than dislikes! It would be more convenient to have one loo and one shower on either side of the field rather than keeping loos and showers separate. Having the option of buying wood onsite would also be great if possible.

Bell tent (four person)

Liked: There was lots of space on site and between the tents. The whole place was clean and tidy. The fire pits are great and the Badminton net is a nice touch.

Disliked: Some pathways mown into the field might be a good idea as the grass was becoming long and could prove difficult to walk about on for some people not so good on their feet.

Local attractions

Starting locally, you might like to pay a visit to the pretty town of Christchurch (10 minutes' drive), where an impressive priory, weekly market, ruined castle and small marina on the river Stour all combine to make for a very pleasant day out. Just outside the town centre there are sandy spots like Avon or Southbourne beach, as well as an interesting nature reserve at Hengistbury Head. Shoreline Escapes is also a 20-minute drive from Lymington. Head here for ferries to the Isle of Wight (either as a foot passenger or bringing the car), birdwatching walks around historic salt pans, to visit up-market independent shops and boutiques or for a dip in the open-air seawater lido. If waterskiing or a floating obstacle course appeal, you might also like the New Forest Water Park (20 minutes from site). Other family-friendly days out include Bournemouth town centre (20 minutes) with its pier and arcades, Moors Valley Country Park (20 minutes) with Go Ape, bike hire and a narrow-gauge steam railway and the rides and slides at Paultons Park/Peppa Pig World (30 minutes), on the other side of the New Forest near Romsey.
