What customers say
Awesome views, chilled vibe, friendly staff, and great value. Clean facilities, pick your own spot, and handy for local sights. Mostly peaceful, but a few mention noise from campers and steep ground making level pitches tricky when busy. Fire pits and a little shop are a bonus.

Liked Absolutely fabulous location, just over the hill to Torquay, easily accessible to many places with a car.
Beautiful campsite and you can rock up and pitch anywhere. We loved choosing the perfect pitch to put our yurt.
The use of the fire pits for free was wonderful and we cooked fresh scallops, lobster and jacket potatoes on ours - as well as a night toasting marshmallows.
Treacle valley campsite offers perfect, back to nature camping, where you can sit under the stars with friends or watch the sunset - absolutely stunning sunsets if you time it right.
We will definitely be back.

I did like the site and staff were friendly
Unpowered grass tent site (medium)
Liked It was a lovely campsite beautiful view and a great place for relaxing in. I liked the detailed information about the area that was freely available in the reception area
Disliked A little hilly and hard to find level ground we were lucky but had the site been busier could have changed the experience. Didn’t like the sewerage smells around the toilet area and it was a shame the shop (if you could call it that) was only open for a few hours each morning

I took my young teen boy…
Unpowered grass tent site (small)
Liked I took my young teen boy on a week holiday and we had a great time. We didn’t have a car and just got back too basics cooking on log burner/bbq and exploring Torquay.
There is a large water park a couple of bus rides away which is perfect for kids!
The facilities are basic but more than adequate, shower block, toilets and wash up area and fire pits, for which you can buy sacks of logs and kinderling for. Plenty of space for kids too play in.
I would pick a flat pitch to pitch a tent on so have a good luck around.
We would definitely recommend and go back!
Disliked It’s in a valley so if you don’t have a car prepare to walk up a very very steep hill or take the longer route too the shops and buses (just under 2 miles). Or take cab cheap enough. That being said it’s the name of the campsite :) so no complaints at all, we got fit!
Could do to renew some fire pits.
