  • A 10-minute drive from The Lost Gardens of Heligan
  • Sea views, large play areas and coffee lounge on site
Just look at that beach… Seaview Gorran Haven Holiday Park is at the start of the Roseland Peninsula on Cornwall's south coast, surrounded by a patchwork of fields and the blue sea. It's a 20-minute stroll from spectacular sands at Hemmick Beach and in a stunningly scenic park with colourful flowers and views over the ocean and nearby Dodman Point The site is centrally set for heaps of attractions including the South West Coast Path, which is within walking distance, and the Lost Gardens of Heligan, 10 minutes' drive away. The rainforest biomes of the Eden Project is within half an hour's drive of the site. St Austell is the closest big town, about 20 minutes' drive away. As well as being in a prime spot near the coast, Seaview Gorran Haven Holiday Park has a play area with swings and slides, plus plenty of room for kids to run around at the park's big games areas. There is also a secure dog-walking area where pups can run free, and a coffee lounge in the Chapel reception area where you can grab a hot drink before a big day out. A heated outdoor pool is open during high season only (and subject to weather conditions).

What customers say

Spacious, private pitches, clean individual shower/toilet cubicles, and a heated outdoor pool are highlights. Great for families with play area and football pitch. Good for beaches/attractions, but approach roads can be narrow. Some facilities need updating; no shop.

Unpowered grass campervan, tent or trailer tent site

Liked Near by beaches- one a 10/15min walk and the other (by cutting over a public footpath through a field) 35/40mins away. The second beach has a castle near it and food and drink facilities available. It also has a car park if you don't fancy the walk. The second beach is better in our opinion just because the facilities come in handy and the kids found more crabs there lol.

Sites pool- excellent, pool side games, heated pool, plenty of seating/ loungers available. We only visited the pool after 4pm but it was always fairly quiet even tho the resort was fully booked.

Toilet/ showers- brilliant, all of us could go and brush our teeth together in one space rather than having to split off. They do sometimes get dirty when used alot (grass/ sand on the floor) but that can't really be helped and they're cleaned regularly enough that it's a none issue. If you feel it's too dirty to shower in, then pop back after an hour or so and they'll have been cleaned up.

Kitchen facilities- having a space to wash up, get hot water and heat up meals was a nice bonus we were not expecting (booked as a last minute trip and didn't read up much about the site itself) it does get busy at peak meal times but that's to be expected. Having the kettle available really helps with cooking tho as heating water can be a gas guzzler on a camping stove so it was a nice surprise to see one in there.

Play area- we saw some reviews that said it was dated and rolled our eyes at those comments when we saw it. It's an outdoor play park so it is obviously weathered but has everything you'd expect a little park to have. The kids loved it. Plus it gave them something to burn off energy on while we set up and took down the tent. It's a bonus that grass tent pitches are all nearby the park tbh.

Staff- amazing, so friendly and welcoming at all times, even when just passing by. We didn't meet one bad staff member.

Disliked Honestly can't think of anything. Condensation over night can be bad so for bigger tents bringing extra towels to dry your tent down before packing away is a must. The 10am checkout time doesn't allow for the sun to be up long enough to do the work of drying the tent for you.

Unpowered grass campervan, tent or trailer tent site

Liked Great Camp Site, clean and well managed. Reception staff friendly and helpful. Pitch was a good size. Facilities were regularly cleaned and the Kettle/Microwave in the kitchen was a bonus. Good sized pool and ample loungers available whenever we attended. A genuinely nice place to stay, good value for money, would happily return in future

Fully-serviced concrete and grass site

Liked Good size pitches

Disliked Cleanliness of toilets, we were pitched right next to toilet block, and very shaded.
There is a single track road to site, however this didn’t cause us a problem

Fully-serviced concrete and grass site

Liked Really liked the space you get at each pitch. The pool area and lounge area is lovely.

Disliked The toilets were a bit annoying that each cubical had shower and toilet in. You’d have to wait ages if you just wanted the toilet if people were showering. It also meant it got very dirty and it didn’t get cleaned that often. Also the fact each pitch has hard standing AND grass. It wasn’t very clear on the website and when we arrived it was annoying because we were expecting all grass pitch. We didn’t bring a drill to put pegs in so had to cramp the tent to the back of the pitch on the only grass bit. If we had a bigger tent we would’ve had to find another campsite as it wouldn’t have fit.

Fully-serviced concrete and grass site

Liked Angie was great in the office, accommodating and helpful.
Site was generally very clean.

Disliked Toilets could be cleaned more regularly.
Some people clearly use the site to let their teenagers just shout and scream until late and let them get on with it without consideration for other people.

Route directions

From St Austell, take the B3273 towards Mevagissey for approximately three miles, at the top of the steep hill, turn right signposted to The Lost Gardens of Heligan and Seaview International. Follow this road and turn for the yellow Seaview Lodges sign. If you are using a GPS or satnav device then do not carry straight on at the top of the hill as this will take you into the centre of Mevagissey where the streets are extremely narrow and often blocked. Please turn right at the top.

Local attractions

Seaview is close to the South West Coast Path – and sands – of Restormel, a top spot for cyclists and walkers, and among the coves, safe clean beaches and jaw-droppingly scenic coast of the Roseland Peninsula. St Mawes (35 minutes) and St Just (an hour and 20 minutes) are both within easy reach; access sailing, fishing boat hire and kayaking nearby at Mevagissey (15 minutes). You could also take a boat trip along the Fal from Falmouth (55 minutes), pedal the Clay Trail for five miles from the Eden Project (half an hour) to Wheal Martyn, or venture determinedly forth for Cornwall's old castles and buildings, including the Caerhays Castle (five minutes) manor house. Kids will surely like the Shipwreck Treasure Museum (20 minutes), within a short drive at the port of Charlestown, and Flambards Theme Park (an hour) and the Crealy Theme Park & Resort (an hour and 45 minutes). A football golf centre, indoor soft play and the Wingz bird and animal sanctuary are all a few minutes' drive from St Austell. Regattas, carnivals and festivals run throughout Cornwall all year round; ask the Seaview team when you arrive what's going on locally.
