Keen to spend some days surfing or rockpooling with your children? Pack your bags and set off for Sun Circle Meadows… not forgetting your surfboards, crab lines or bucket and spades, of course. With easy access from the B3285 (half a mile away), this flat five-acre site has heaps of space and lovely views of St. Agnes Beacon. This site is a five-minute drive from St Agnes beach for the aforementioned surfing and rockpooling, and it's also a 10-minute drive from the beaches at Perranporth beach and Chapel Porth. Pick up the South West Coast Path at any of these three spots for a wild wander along Cornwall’s coast. For easy outings, a bus stop is 15 minutes’ walk away from the site, with connections to St Agnes, Perranporth, Newquay, Truro and Falmouth. There are walks around the site too, including a 15-minute route that takes you to a pub with a beer garden. St Agnes and Perranporth both also have great places to eat and drink, whether you want a traditional Cornish pasty, a coffee or a meal in a small restaurant or country pub. Small, off grid and family run, Sun Circle Meadows has simple facilities including two toilets, two hot showers and three washing-up sinks, plus a small shop selling basic provisions. A large field has been put aside for car parking, with guests also welcome to use part of the field for a game of badminton, volleyball or frisbee. Around the pitches there's plenty more space for guests to relax and play games.

Liked A really lovely campsite wonderful toilet and shower blocks and sinks for washing up very clean and tidy actually better water pressure than our shower at home!! the staff were super friendly and helpful. They even came and helped us jumpstart our car on the last day. The listings on pitch up say that you’re not allowed fires and you’re not allowed to park near your tent, but actually we found this to to be untrue during quieter periods. Close to Perranporth well maintained pitches. A shop and reception on site. Very dog and Child friendly.

Unpowered grass caravan site

Liked Absolutely loved our stay here for many reasons. You can tell these people know what campers need! -
- level pitches and choose where you like
- Peaceful and surrounded by nature
- brilliant location for Trevaunce Cove and Porthtowan to body board (took us five minutes to be at the beach)
- fantastic showers!! Hot, plenty of hooks and space to put your stuff.
- toilets were spotlessly cleaned and regularly checked. The cleanest 'back to basics' toilets I've ever seen!
- friendly owners who clearly care
- children loved the vast amount of space to play in. Great addition to have the volleyball net!
- loved the borrow me box for beach stuff
- washing line to hang up swim stuff etc
- plenty of hot water for washing up - covered area so didn't matter if raining.
- you could recycle rubbish

*Camp on the side nearest the toilets for the best sunset views!

Ideal site for tents or campervans.
Highly recommend and we would definitely visit again as a family of four. With 7yo and 10yo

Liked The campsite was wonderfully laid out, lovely and maintained grounds with plenty of facilities.
The camping area was pancake flat so ideal for our tent.
Great showers and wash area. Some washing lines for wet bathing suits. All in all we will 100% stay again..

Liked Not too many other parties on the campsite
Toilet & shower facilities were excellent & clean
Space for the kids to play
'Borrow me' box with body boards & balls was a nice touch - we added to the contents when we left.
Lots to do in the area.
10 min walk to the local pub with great food - worth booking as it was busy.

Disliked Despite being rural and off a country road, the road noise was noticeable in the mornings. May have been due to harvesting but lots of tractors and vehicles from early in the morning.

Liked Extremely peaceful campsite ideal for couples who want to avoid the busier sites around St Agnes and Perranporth.

Huge grass field. The two toilets and showers whilst basic were immaculately clean.

Disliked Due to being on Mithian Downs you do have to drive to go anywhere and no circular walks nearby for our dog

Blackthorn shepherd's hut

Liked The shepherd's hut is very comfortable with everything you would need including a small electric cooler/fridge, plates and pans to use with the hob. It felt very private. The site was well looked after.

Disliked The only things I would add would be more tools for cleaning both in the shower block and in the shepherds hut. A mop or broom would be helpful to sweep out the dry grass that inevitable gets in. There was a pan and brush in the hut and cleaning spray in the toilets, but a full size broom or mop would have been ideal to have.

Automatic lights in toilets at night.
Fabulous bins and recycling.
Lovely flat camping
Owners that really care and have put a lot of thought into making this a very special place to camp.

The site suggests that touring caravans, campervans and motorhomes take the A30 route towards the Chiverton Cross roundabout and exit onto St Agnes (B3277). At the next roundabout, follow the sign to St Agnes (B3277) and pass the Chiverton Arms Pub on your right. Then, take the next right heading for the Miners Arms, and take the second turning on the left after passing Higher Mithian Farm. After a couple hundred yards, the site is on the left, just opposite Trewarren.
