What customers say
Magical, peaceful woodland site with friendly owners. Cosy hobbit holes with private facilities. Great for nature, wildlife spotting & attractions. Mostly clean/equipped, though showers needed minor fixing & some basics were plain. Larger vehicles beware tricky access.

Very welcomingand accommodating host, beautiful location.
Hobbit Hut cabin
Liked Beautiful natural location, clearly the owners are passionate about nature and this really shine through on the design of the huts and layout of the site in general. Loved the treasure hunt with the map and clues and forced us to explore the whole site and really appreciate it. Our own toilet and shower provided was brilliant with little personal touches it really brought the whole experience together. We unfortunately missed the mermaid show on the Friday because our eldest fell ill but I'm sure it would have been magical for the little ones to see. Next time.
Disliked Dust pan and brush would have been good to have in the hut itself. The bean bag beds were not the comfiest and we had to shake out the mattresses from the fold out bed a few times in order to get them flat as there was a night or two where we had some back issues the next morning from lumps in the mattress.

would definitely visit again
Unpowered grass tent or trailer tent site (large)
Liked great place, quite, beautiful woodland, small site, plenty of toilet/shower, friendly owners, great kids event.
Disliked a lot of laminated signs instead of solutions. the freeze was on its last legs and barely refroze freezer blocks. and 1x electrical socket as a phone charging point for the whole site!

We will be recommending to family and friends, and will return soon.
Primrose bell tent (five person)
Liked We really enjoyed the glamping tent, and the woodland walk was an added surprise which the children really enjoyed!

The Snook cabin
Liked I travelled from Birmingham, to celebrate a friend's 40th Birthday. I am very much a city boy, so am not used to rural life. However, I thoroughly enjoyed my stay here.
Whilst I am not a vegetarian or a vegan (they do not serve meat), I can honestly say the food was excellent. Also, the staff were very pleasant and accommodating. I suffer from pretty bad OCD, and the lady serving the food took note of all my specifications without complaint.
The site itself was within a beautiful area in nature, and the facilities were all clean and functional.
Overall, I would definitely recommend Acorn Camping and Glamping!

Unpowered grass tent or trailer tent site (large)
Liked What a wonderful place this is! The owners couldn’t help enough, they are so lovely. The kids loved the woods and the trail. We all had an amazing time! The fridge freezers were handy. We would definitely come back!
Disliked There wasn’t anything to dislike.

Hobbit Hut cabin

Great glamping site for me and my partner, ideal for Eden sessions.
Hobbit Hole cabin (secluded)
Liked Felt like we were the only people there! Butterfly’s birds and bats!
Super friendly staff
Walking distance from Eden sessions.
Well equipped hobbit hole lovely kitchen area and just a stunning spot to enjoy some food and beers.
Disliked Shower wasn’t draining properly but no biggie

Great peaceful affordable campsite in a beautiful part of the world
Unpowered grass tent or trailer tent site
Liked The beautiful view, the peace and quiet and the hospitality of the owners. The cost of camping was so reasonable and it's location to the eden project and nearby beaches is excellent. Really nice back to basics site
Disliked Nothing really, the water was hot and for the price the facilities were fine. Don't expect a fancy shower block but we had lovely hot showers!
Road in is narrow and a little dicey but all good!

Excellent facilities and run by a very friendly and caring family.
Hobbit Hut cabin
Liked It’s was a lovely stay and my little daughter loved chasing the robin who came to visit every morning. We stayed in a hobbit hut with private bathroom and the owners gave us the cabin that was best adapted for a toddler.
Disliked We missed having a little table next to the cabin where to have food. There was a bench and chairs but really missed a table.
