  • On the Lizard Peninsula with a huge range of family facilities
  • Indoor and outdoor heated pools; pirate-themed crazy golf; soft play
  • Activities including evening entertainment, family films, kids' clubs
Smugglers’ coves, gorgeous beaches, fishing ports and colourful market towns await you at this park on the Lizard Peninsula. Lizard Point Holiday Park (formerly known as Mullion Holiday Park) is a firmly family-friendly site, so there's a great selection of facilities, including heated outdoor (open from May to mid-September) and indoor pools (where visitors can also book in for PADI diving lessons), a plethora of sporting activities, modern bars and restaurants, and all-singing, all-dancing action in the entertainment club. The littlies will have a ball in the pools (and slides, chutes and tunnels) of the Crazy Caves soft play area, and the pirate-themed crazy golf course and outdoor adventure playground should provide gallons of giggles too. A kids' library, family film screenings and the assortment of goings on at the various kids’ clubs means there’s plenty to keep them occupied whatever the weather (although the Lizard is the most southerly point in the UK, so if it’s going to turn out nice anywhere, it should be here).

Liked Pitch size and location within the complex. Loads to do for kids, and clean facilities. Staff were very helpful. Loads of toilets and showers for the size of the camp area.

Disliked The accessibility/family wet room smelled. Affordable for a weekend in June, but have checked the price for the same stay in August and camp price is unaffordable considering you are just camping.

Great family friendly weekend, very peaceful and relaxing.

Unpowered grass tent or trailer tent site

Liked Lovely camping field, lots of space around each pitch and quiet as away from the club house/entertainment area.
Clean toilets and warm showers, staff regularly around and always friendly.
Pool was great, warm, clean and we managed to get a swim each day without booking.
Didn't use the club house/bar as not our thing, but looked lively.

Disliked WiFi not great- not a negative, just something people need to be aware in this part of cornwall

A nice site at a decent price but shop around before booking.

Liked Our tent pitch was great, perfectly placed close to the ammenities.
There is a bus stop right outside the entrance to take you to the local villages
Food was reasonably priced and some good offers available

Disliked Booking activities for set days and times. When on holiday we don't like to be restricted to times.
Even though the camp site was no where near full, the activities we would have chosen were booked or could not fit us as a group of 3.
Wi-fi was shocking, especially when you need this to book activities and order food etc

Would stay again :)

Liked Lots of facilities on site. Great for small children. Lovely space to run in the camping area. Pool was perfect. Soft play. Good price to stay!

Disliked Camping is next to the main road which is noisy and busy
Soft play was an additional cost.

Liked The bingo was good !

Disliked On arrival we asked where the grey and black waste points were, we were told they were sign posted but after driving around and not finding the camper service point but finding our pitch in a muddy field we drove back to the reception and asked if we could move to one of the empty hard standing pitches. We were told they were all booked so went back on the hunt for the motorhome service point which we found to be full of human excrement ( we reported this at the time to a park worker, but 2 days later if was still the same). During our stay the empty hard standing pitches were never used !
The showers never worked during our stay and the heater in the ladies shower block never worked. There was mould growing up the ladies toilet doors in the clubhouse.
We reported the problems and asked for a manager to contact us to arrange a refund for our remaining time at the park as we left a day early.
1 week later no one has contacted us.

Local attractions

The scenery around the park is stunning – not for nothing has the Lizard been given an official stamp as an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty – which makes for some spectacular clifftop walks. It's not far from Land's End or the rather lovely St Michael’s Mount either. The local Blue Flag beaches offer a good range of watersports, including kitesurfing and sea kayaking. Serious thrill seekers should check out the adventure centre at Lusty Glaze beach, where they can test their mettle with water, land and cliff activities. Many of Cornwall’s top family attractions are found nearby: potter among the plant life under the giant domes of the Eden Project, or head to Newquay Zoo or the National Seal Sanctuary in the Helford Estuary for some close encounters of the animal kind. There are a couple of good theme parks, too: the Flambards Experience and the Crealy Great Adventure Park. If you’d like to uncover a bit more of the heritage of this Cornish corner, pay a visit to Poldark, an 18th-century tin mine, or the National Maritime Museum in Falmouth.
