What customers say
Awesome spot by a beautiful beach, with sea views from many sites. Staff are friendly, facilities clean & sites spacious. Pool & entertainment popular, especially with families. Some find facilities a bit dated & entertainment can be noisy. Steep dunes to beach may be tricky.

Liked Twnt pitches were a great size a s there are some great spots provided they're available. Shower facilities and toilets were OK could really do with an update, the beach is a short steep walk away.
The restaurant was good we ate here a couple of times food is OK but there are many other nearby restaurant a 5/10 minute drive away.

Disliked The only downside to our visit really was the safety aspect of the site, there is security however as we found out the leave around 2am and at 4am my partner nipped to the toilet to see a man wearing a balaclava searching through peoples things, looking in people's cars and around caravans. We couldn't get in touch with anyone on there 24hour out of hours line, my partner ended up driving round the site found him again himself and told him to leave, after telling guest services the next day we didn't get so much as a thank-you putting himself at risk, they just said they'd tell the security team which didn't happen as we spoke to them two days later and they responded in a much better manner. Ideally security should be on site until guest services arrive at 9am

Liked We stayed in the bottom tent/caravan area and really liked the bathrooms they were modern and lovely and clean.
We liked being in close proximity to the beach and sand dunes as they were fabulous walks for our dog.
Good size pitches and EHU was perfect.
I do like the site and location and would come again - but the dislikes are annoying.
Disliked The loud music from the club house - which could be heard from the tent pitches. The loud music went on until very late - not good for young children to sleep. The music was so loud, you could hear every single word of the song - soundproofing would be an idea. Especially as guests are expected to be quiet past a certain time. For reference the music finished about 11pm.
The ants all over the pitches - they were everywhere. I know it’s camping - but these ants were in everything. Something to be aware of when camping here. They even managed somehow to get in my fully sewn in ground sheet tent - with full mesh doors. They got into plastic storage boxes and in all the camping cupboards.
There was a long walk to the water tap and not much guidance on the whereabouts of the taps.

Liked The beach wasn’t too busy & the view from the bistro was really lovely. From our view at the pitch we could see the lighthouse which was also lovely.
Disliked On our 2nd night sleeping my partner got up to go to the toilet around 4:30am. Our neighbouring pitch was friendly and stopped him and told him there is a lad walking around the pitches and hiding behind the bathroom wearing all black and a balaclava. Our neighbour said he asked the lad what he was doing and he was very sheepish and said he was looking for his dog. When he saw him again our neighbour asked if he found his dog and the lad said he lived over the other side and still not found his dog but was going to head back.
Very scary as for 1 why is someone who isn’t on the campsite walking around our tents at 4:30am and 2 why was he wearing a balaclava?
My partner being desperate still went to the bathroom came back as he had run away and not seen him. The neighbour spoke to my partner and was trying to call the out of hours number and security as nobody was answering he even told us he had drove down to the guest services shack at the beginning of the campsite and nobody was there.
The morning after, when my partner told me I originally didn’t want to stay and cut our holiday short as I was frightened. To calm my nerves I went to guest services in the morning and explained what had happened. The lady behind the desk was lovely yet she had no idea, I asked is there security overnight I was told “to my knowledge”
After speaking to our neighbour he said he was told the security go home at 2:30am.
We ended up staying as we had drove nearly 6 hours to get there but my partner was up and down throughout the nights checking nobody was there.
I personally think for such a large campsite and there being no fences to stop people coming on throughout the night they should have security patrols at least until sunrise.
We also went for breakfast at the bistro. They didn’t have the food we wanted so we substituted for a different plate and when they bought it out my plate was missing sausages, toast and hashbrowns which we had paid extra for.

Liked Being able to take dogs in the top bar was nice considering it’s a dog friendly site
Disliked Shame it’s looking tired and not enough camping pitches now as it seems to be going all static homes taking over
Shower and toilet area in need of update but that’s probably going too

Flat pitches Beach is stunning…

Beach is stunning
Disliked - This site is an 'Away Resort' (think Haven, Butlins etc) which isn't made completely clear when booking - would have avoided if I knew it was a resort.
- The beach is a 1km walk away from the touring pitches, and access to the beach is via a very steep sand dune. NOT ACCESSIBLE to anyone with mobility issues. We have a disabled daughter and so it was very dangerous for us to attempt the descent.
- Touring pitches very close to clubhouse and it is VERY loud of an evening.
- Very loud site in general, groups up shouting, drinking and smoking (not just tobacco) until after 1am both nights.
- Very unkept pitches, rubbish and cigarette ends everywhere.
- Pitches are 'choose your own' so spend a lot of time driving around trying to work out where you can go. We also had someone pitch up a HUGE tent in the space next to us that was not a pitch, meaning our children couldn't go outside the van to play.
- Shop closes at 4pm every day, so if you do need bread/milk, make sure you run out before tea time!
- STILL no idea where the water tap is.
- Tourers are not really important to the company 'this is where you need to drive, and this is all you need to know' is what I was told at reception, no clue on where toilet facilities, washing-up facilities etc, just left to own devices.
- Site is not clearly signposted so end up wandering around a lot.
