Liked: Good clean friendly site good facilities with cafe and shop..some sea views on top level for the more expensive pitches..it also Has a child's play area

Disliked: Would be quite close to one another unless it wasnt to busy or you were group booking and it would be great..

Liked: The location of this site was great! We loved the cafe, farm and camping shop. There was a little park for the kids and from our pitch you could just about see the sea. We stayed for three nights and would definitely return!

Liked: The shop and cafe are lovely areas, as is the well stocked camping shop. Our pitch was at the bottom of the site and we did not hear any traffic.

Disliked: We had a fully serviced pitch, however, it was quite muddy due to previous awnings. Unfortunately we found the toilet and shower buildings lacking. This was due to the need for refurbishment and the number of campers on the site. This was brought to the attention of the staff, who appreciated the comments, so hopefully this will be attended to. There was no wi-fi available at the pitch.

Liked: Lovely campsite, very clean, friendly staff, lovely Cafe and onsite shop Great park for the kids. Lovely atmosphere

Disliked: No dog walking area or walks from the campsite due to the main road, but very quick to get to the beach by car and dogs allowed on most beaches so easily overcome

Powered grass tent site

Liked: Excellent site, great location, close to beaches and village of Bude. Showers were one of the best I have ever experienced, really hot (can be adjusted) and powerful. My only criticism would be to have more toilets, more showers than toilets on the site. On a few occasions we had to wait, not a problem with older children but may have been if they were younger. Our pitch was close to facilities and only a minute walk to an extremely well stocked shop and cafe. Overall a really lovely week, many thanks!

Disliked: Only criticism would be that there needs to be more toilets on the site.

Local attractions

You could spend your entire hol on the sands and in the sea if you were so inclined: the long bay and miles of sand of Widemouth Bay are three miles away from Cornish Coasts for surfing, rockpooling or stretching out on golden sand; Bude is five miles away, and Summerleaze, Sandymouth, Crackington Haven and Crooklets are within 10 to 15 minutes’ drive. If you’re new to the surf, this area has a good handful of surf schools to show you the ropes; if you prefer to stay on land, the South West Coast Path runs alongside Poundstock, the village nearest to Cornish Coasts. Going along the coast towards Newquay, the medieval fishing village of Boscastle, eight miles from Cornish Coasts, is a popular tourist spot, probably best known for its handsome harbour and National Trust visitor centre in its old ‘pilchard palace'. Also the stuff of legends, Tintagel and its King Arthur associations are three miles along the coast from Boscastle: climb up to Tintagel Castle high on the coast for tales of Arthur and some seriously stunning views across the water (you should be able to see Lundy Island from here too). Going into Devon, take the kids to new heights at the Milky Way Adventure Park in Bideford; the town is also where you can catch the ferry to lovely Lundy Island.

Admission

Admission is only permitted after registering at reception.

Safety

Barbecues are permitted but must be raised off the ground and attended by an adult at all times.

Dogs must be kept on leads and supervised at all times.

Occupancy

Group bookings of 3 or more units (e.g. tent, caravan, motorhome or accommodation hire) travelling together are not permitted via Pitchup.com.
Group bookings of 8 or more adults are not permitted (couples and immediate family members excepted).

General

In the event of a complaint, please speak to reception immediately. Complaints which are not brought to the management's attention during your stay cannot be dealt with once you have left the site.

Arrivals and departures

Late arrivals must notify the park as soon as possible. Your booking will be held for 24 hours. After this period the management reserves the right to relet your unit.
