Liked: Loved it. We’ve literally just stayed here and couldn't recommend it enough. If you are looking for a no frills campsite in a beautiful setting then this is it. We decided on Saturday morning (off a whim) to go camping. We live in london so wanted somewhere close to home. Stayed for 2 nights and had an absolutely beautiful stay. Sarah the owner was brilliant and couldn't do enough for us. We have had the best weekend in long time. We were also advised to go and visit Deadwood, unbelievable. Be prepared to fall through into another world. We'll definitely be back and have told our friends!

The entire stay was pleasant due to clean facilities and site and very thorough help, Sarah the owner of the site, who provided us with help when needed. Would definitely recommend to others and look forward to returning myself.

Disliked: Appalling Experience – Beautiful Views, Horrible Owners
We stayed at Wattlehurst Farm for what was meant to be a peaceful few nights of camping while working in the area. Yes, the scenery is beautiful—but don’t be fooled. That’s where the good part ends.
During our stay, our tent was attacked and damaged by the owners’ dogs. Not a single apology or offer to help—just completely brushed off like it wasn’t their problem.
Then, on our last night, we came back from work to find our tent and all of our belongings had been taken. Gone without warning, even though we had clearly told the owners earlier that we’d be back and paying for another night.
We were forced to pay out of pocket for a last-minute hotel and taxis that night because it was late and we had nowhere else to go—an expensive, stressful mess we never should have had to deal with.
After speaking with the owners, they admitted it was a “mix-up” and offered us a couple of nights free to make up for it. So we paid again for taxis to get back there—only to be met by one of the owners standing at the entrance with our stuff in hand, refusing to let us in and acting like we were the ones causing the issue.
This whole experience was shocking. We were lied to, disrespected, left out of pocket, and treated with complete hostility after their mistake.
Wattlehurst Farm might have lovely views, but it’s absolutely not worth the risk. Avoid this place at all costs.

Liked: The most beautiful scenery around the lake and very well kept. With beautiful pitches right on the side of the lake, each with their own picnic bench and fire pit to use. Honestly now one of my favourite campsites to visit. There is also some great hikes near by with it being a short drive from Leigh hill. And the cutest little farm and cowboy town within walking distance to explore. Cannot wait to come back and show my family this little gem!

Liked: Only 1 hour drive from Greater London, lovely small, well-kept Campsite with every pitch with a Lake view. Teenage Son had a great time fishing around the lake - caught small perch and Rudd and 2 large eels. Next door a girl (with the help of her father) caught a 10lb carp! We were lucky with the weather and were given a fab pitch. New and lean toilets and sink. Owner very friendly and accommodating!
Disliked: No showers and in Gatwick flight path but did not bother us.

Liked: Quiet, clean modern toilet, good places to walk. Big picnic bench on pitch. Water tap close by. Minimal road noise.
Disliked: Not an issue as we were aware, enjoyed watching them and switched off to it but you are directly under the flight path close to gatwick
