Unpowered grass tent site
Liked: Wonderful quiet site with tree cover and a big main field. Clean compost toilets. No traffic noise at all which is genuinely so nice. Right next to the steam railway which is fun for little people too. We camped but there is glamping onsite. Be aware that the two are quite far apart if you have a mixed group.
Disliked: The site is basic which is lovely but could do with an additional water tap up by the compost toilets. There is no waste collection on site which is advertised, but for groups this can be tricky.

Unpowered grass tent site
Liked: The open space and distance between pitches. The stars at night. Compost loos were well kept and clean. Quiet but convenient location for travelling to Brighton. Lovely wild flower / grass in the centre of the field was perfect for bug hunting! Warm showers with open roof, like showing in the woods. Little/no phone signal was actually much appreciated! Hearing the local steam trains chuffing and tooting was great and much loved by my little one.
Disliked: The only thing I can fault is the track to the camping field. There was a huge dip/ramp that almost took the bottom of my car off!
