Site type
This campground/park has no on-site shower facilities.
- Under 18s must be accompanied by their parents or legal guardians.
- The campground/park does not accept breeds/crossbreeds listed in the Dangerous Dog Act (i.e. Pit Bull Terrier, Japanese Tosa, Dogo Argentino, and Fila Brasileiro).
- No hen/stag parties permitted via Pitchup.com.
- Commercial vehicles (vehicles used for work-related purposes, carrying goods or fare-paying passengers) and sign-written vehicles are not permitted on site.
- Guests are advised to bring a good quality torch with them as parts of the campground/park are unlit.
- Please note that the toilet facilities are unisex.
- Fires, barbecues and/or firepits will not be permitted in dry, windy and/or hot weather conditions.
- South Downs National Park is a ‘dark sky reserve’ so there is no lighting on site: please bring good-quality torches and spare batteries. Please note, access to the campsite is via an uphill gravel track which is bumpy in places.

Liked: Really lovely campsite. Very secluded, lovely welcome from the owner Rachel and the perfect escape for a night or 2.
The loos may be portaloos are the cleanest portaloos imaginable.
Disliked: Fresh water is a bit of a schlep so make sure you have enough before you pitch.

Liked: Beautiful, tranquil green space with fabulous views and easy access to varied walks. We really like the off grid feel of this site. Rachel, the manager, gave us a warm welcome. The whole site is clean, tidy and well maintained.

Liked: The host is simply fantastic! They are incredibly friendly and helpful, and they provide valuable information about the area.
If you have a pet, there are plenty of great trails to explore.
The location is truly remote, with only the sounds of nature in the background.
The morning chorus of birds is truly breathtaking, making it a wonderful way to start the day.
Toilets are very clean and frequently maintained.
No wi fi, but great phone signal.
Disliked: Nothing to dislike.. a truly wild camping experience!

Liked: Stayed here on my own with my dog, and will 100% be coming back, I’ve found my new favourite spot! ❤️ absolutely perfect for peace and quiet, it’s so relaxing here, and lots of long walks, beautiful bird songs all day long, owls in the evening, stunning scenery, definitely recommend coming here, and Rachel is super lovely and friendly, so if you are considering coming here, just book it! You won’t regret it :-)
