What customers say
Beautiful, clean, peaceful campsite for wild camping. Plenty of space, privacy, great river access. Excellent loos, firewood available, owners are welcoming. Village pub nearby. Access a bit rough, signage could be better, but highly recommended.

Liked Lovely campsite very peaceful quiet and huge space so no close neighbours which was lovely, felt like having your own space properly! The toilets were amazing for a simple campsite, lovely and clean along with a cricket set and frisbee to borrow which was great. Overall amazing experience would recommend!!!!

Liked Nice basic site with clean and modern toikets, friendly and helpful staff, being able to purchase firewood was a nice bonus. Setting is quiet and peaceful
Disliked Ground could do with a bit if surface work, but nothing major, and a sign from the main road would be great

Unpowered grass tent or motorhome site
Liked We had a lovely time at this camp! The owners are wonderful and really care about the site. We walked to Chiddingstone village and castle then on to Hever Castle, with great pubs in both areas. Nice firepits with a bundle of logs are available to rent for £15. We’ll be back :)

Very relaxing site, will definitely add to my list of favourites
Unpowered grass tent or motorhome site
Liked Very peaceful site, huge mainly flat field with pretty surroundings that allows your own private space because the area is so big.
The fact that your pitch size is unlimited and you pitch where you like is such a bonus in itself and a big plus.
The owners are very nice and helpful, offering lifts to local areas to and from the station for back packers as well which is another bonus that’s not common with other sites.
There is a small toilet block and washing up facilities and cold water, which for wild camping is just what you need.
Being able to bring you own fire pit or rent 1 with the sale of logs is really great too.
There is a small village post office/shop about 10 minutes on a bike or 3 minutes by car and the nearest small supermarkets are around 10 minutes by car.
All in all a very lovely place to chill for a weekend or longer with some nice local places to visit if you want to venture out.
Disliked Absolutely nothing!

Liked This is as close as you can get to wild camping in kent. What a lovely field. Fairly flat, lots of space , nice little river flowing through it. Two villages with pubs 15 min walk away. They let you have a fire pit.

Unpowered grass tent or motorhome site
Liked Perfect back-to-basics field next to a lovely river. Helen very kindly shuttled us to and from the train station will all our gear which was greatly appreciated in the hot weather and was super lovely to us in general. Campsite was beautiful and clean, toilets were in fantastic condition, firewood was plenty for a long night by the firepit and the nearby pub The Little Brown Jug is a lovely spot to visit for the afternoon with a great beer garden and fantastic food. Couldn’t recommend River Field enough.
