This quiet 100-acre site on the east coast of the Isle of Wight has well-maintained bell tents for spectacular clifftop breaks. The six-metre bell tents at Kingswood Bembridge overlook Whitecliff Bay; they're surrounded by fields and woodlands and have direct beach access. The furnished canvas accommodation here has solar-powered electricity, futon beds made up on arrival, a private day room with tea and coffee making facilities and mains power sockets, futon seating, a picnic bench just outside the tent and access to a toilet and shower for the sole use of your party. The tents here are spaced a generous distance apart for privacy, so you'll have plenty of room to spread out, sit in the sunshine and let the kids play in the field without worrying about disturbing your neighbours. There's also a wide range of outdoor activities available on site, with overnight guests qualifying for a special discount. Chat to reception to book kayaking, high ropes or zipwire sessions with full supervision from expert instructors. Stepping away from base, it's a mile to the centre of Bembridge, home to pubs, a sailing club and a convenience store. Ryde (15 minutes), with its pier, amusements and ferries to the mainland, is also handy to have so close by.
