Great site, would definitely go again.
The Field unpowered grass tent site
Liked Lovely site. Friendly owners, flat pitches, quiet neighbours, nice little play area/ tree swing, lovely to have sheep in the adjoining field, close to amenities and tea/coffee available in the morning- fab!
Disliked Shower ran hot-cold-extreamly hot, so had to time rinsing carefully- not a massive problem really.

From the manager: Thanks so much! Sorry the water was doing that, we didn’t realise and no one told us! We will check this over for next year. Thanks so much for staying.
Ideal site, very clean and economical. Level spacious pitches.
The Field unpowered grass tent site
Liked Very quiet site with small fruit trees dotted all around. Spacious pitches with small play area for children.
Toilet block with two large showers spotlessly clean and chemical toilets and wash basins.
Washing up area with two large double sinks.
Would definitely return next year. Friendly helpful owner. No WiFi signal so be aware.
Disliked No chemical waste disposal area. But understand why there's not as it's only open for 2.5 weeks a year and a pop up site.
Would have liked a phone charging point.

Lovely field area with clean facilities, will need a car.
The Field unpowered grass tent site
Liked Lovely little spot, hot showers and lovely toilet facilities, clearly a labour of love. Plenty of room and so had great privacy. Hosts were so considerate and provided teas and coffee free in the morning along fairly priced necessities such as fires and marshmallows! Perfect for a get away, and young adult friendly!
Disliked No criticism, however do note to get to local attractions or local areas (pubs, shops etc) you will need to drive as it’s not walkable!

From the manager: Thank you! The walk to romsey takes 40 mins through Squabb Wood so is walkable but not down the main road. I’ve walked it a few times with my children. There is also a bus stop just up from our entrance however local shops are in the main village. Thanks so much for staying and for your lovely comments.

Very clean facilities, lovely owner and huge pitch space.
The Field unpowered grass tent site
Liked • The toilets and shower are spotless and the owner cleaned regularly throughout our stay. Shower was hot! A mirror in the shower would be useful.
• The size of the space means you can pitch up without feeling crowded
• Kids loved the tire swing!
• Free coffee and tea in the morning (although I was too late getting a coffee so be quick!)
• I was able to buy homemade Damson jam which is so yummy.
• The owner was so lovely. She was working hard throughout our stay to clean.
•Perfect if you are going to Paultons Park or Harold Hillier Gardens.
•Stars, stars and more stars!
Disliked • The toilets do have a strong smell due to the chemical toilets. BUT we went over a bank hol when it was very hot and very busy. The owner was trying her best to use air fresheners etc but it's really difficult. I could manage with it and many people did but just a heads up if that kind of thing is an issue for you.
• Queues at the washing station because the tap to fill up people's tanks would shut off the other taps so that caused some confusion and a bit of a delay. This water is cold. Again not an issue for us but some other campers aren't so patient.
• No internet signal and no WiFi (again good for us but not for all)

From the manager: Thanks so much for your review and lovely comments. It was lovely having you stay.
The water in the sink taps was being affected by refilling the shower tanks for the morning shower, it was unfortunate timing you were trying to wash up while we did this. we will make sure we fill these at a more convenient time.
Toilets are always a struggle with heat and a busy weekend but we learn every year and hope to finally understand the system next year!
Pleased you loved the jam!
A quiet and rural field site.…
The Field unpowered grass campervan site
Liked A quiet and rural field site. Loved that there are only 30 units allowed and you had freedom to pitch wherever you wanted. Basic toilet and shower facilities and water available. Lovely touch offering free tea and coffee in the morning. Tiny camp stall selling cans of drink too. Really cute. Would stay again.
Disliked Although toilets were clean and flushable they did smell pretty bad but guessing as the site is only open in August they are just temporary type loos. Shower was clean and well set up but again pretty al fresco.

From the manager: Thanks for the great review! Yes, just temporary toilets so emptied every few days over the 2.5 weeks. Unfortunately over bank holidays we can’t get them emptied until the Tuesday and the heat didn’t help. Every year we learn a little bit more!
Gone straight to the top of places we’d stay again! Loved it!

Liked Hosts were LOVELY.
Peaceful - lots of space. Flat.
Showers were clean and hot.
Pizza night was also great touch. As was the free tea/coffee.
Disliked Toilets are a little cramped - but means you get friendly with other campers chatting as you go by.
