Peaceful, spacious site with genuine wild camping, stunning views. Generous, private pitches with fire pits. Basic but clean facilities, including outdoor shower. Toilets could be better, but tranquility, nature & walks are highlights. Perfect for simplicity & nature lovers.

Liked We enjoyed a fantastic, one night stay at Clarefield Copse. Very easy to find and on arrival we were able to choose our own pitch.
Kids enjoyed the swing and the views across the Downs are spectacular.
We met the owner of the site (Angus) and his lovely dog who gave us some helpful suggestions about walks and pubs.
Very quiet and peaceful night. Thoroughly enjoyed ourselves.

Unpowered grass and earth tent site
Liked I liked the quiet surroundings and lots of space at the campsite. It's pretty basic, but hey for £14 is just great. Toilets , a shower and running water all you need for an overnight stop .

Unpowered grass and earth tent site
Liked Great site, we pitched in the “quiet” area and felt very secluded and isolated which is exactly what we were after. Like that each pitch gets a campfire and glad that there was the option to buy wood onsite. Bonus that there was reasonably priced EV chargers.
Disliked Toilets, while functional, are a bit dark and cramped and not all of them close properly so privacy is somewhat limited. Shower could be more appealing but didn’t use so can’t comment on functionality.
