What customers say
Peaceful eco-site with roomy, flat spots & helpful hosts. Basic but clean facilities (compost loos, cold showers). Loved for its natural beauty, privacy & location. Great for a back-to-nature escape. Road noise & no hot showers noted, but highly recommended, with many keen to return.

Unpowered grass tent site
Liked It was quite, I liked the eco aspects of the site . Friendly owner very helpful.
Disliked Hard to find ,needed a bigger sign on gate. A little more expensive than I usually pay. For just a field.

Unpowered grass tent site
Liked We absolutely adored the horses, the island’s seclusion, and the slow internet. It was the perfect way to unplug from the daily hustle and bustle. The place was immaculate, with a composting loo, shower, and water taps. Everything was clean and well-maintained. The landlady was incredibly friendly and helpful, making our stay truly memorable.

Liked Great location. Back to basics with compost loos and cold shower but actually loved the cold shower out in nature (there are walls but no roof and it is under a willow tree so so pretty). The swings and slide were a huge hit with our toddler - great to have that for kids.

Liked A wonderful little gem.
Friendly, helpful owners with lots of local knowledge.
Immaculately clean pitches, toilets, shower and washing area. Eco shower gel and eco washing liquid provided.
Fire pit available to rent.
Local farm shop and supermarket within walking distance. Bus stop on main road 5 minute walk, and a nature reserve with pop up cafe 10-15 minute walk (Try their cheesy chips).
Will definitely look forward to visiting again.

Unpowered grass tent site
Liked Large space and peaceful location. The immunities were good, all eco type stuff, fresh running water. Felt slightly wild which is what we were looking for. Also only a short drive to shops, pubs and beach. Charlie was very helpful.
Disliked Poor phone reception for Vodafone users, not sure about other supplier's. Could do with a sign on the gate, we struggled finding the place initially.

From the manager: Thank you for your helpful comments. The phone signal on the island is very patchy.
We had thought about a sign so will sort that out for next year.
Also I have now included what three words and more detailed instructions in the welcome text we send to people. So thank you and sorry you had problems finding the campsite.

Liked What a fantastic stay! The host was wonderful and made us feel right at home. The facilities were excellent, and there was plenty to keep the kids entertained. The most unforgettable part of our visit was the breathtaking night view of the full moon. It was an extraordinary experience that we won't soon forget.
Disliked My only regret is not being able to visit more frequently :-(
