Relax or roam ‘till the cows come home at Old Dairy Farm Glamping: this glampsite on England’s south coast has luxury yurts with all the facilities needed for what should be a happy holiday. Each yurt is individually furnished with hardwood floors, ensuites and pop-up kitchens including small fridges, kettles and electric sockets. Cutlery, crockery, pots and pans are supplied as well – so all you’ll need to do for eats is head to the supermarket a 25-minute walk away. Want to cook in the open air? Barbecues are allowed at the park, meaning you can grill up grub with the grass beneath your feet. Meet the friendly farmyard animals on site: the alpacas, goats, sheep and chickens love nothing more than meeting guests and being hand-fed. This scenic spot is also well-placed for exploring: it’s around a 20-minute drive from the towns and cities of Portsmouth, Chichester and Goodwood and 10 minutes or so to the Funland Amusement Parks of Hayling Island. The old fishing town of Emsworth is less than a 30-minute walk away. Not that you’ll need to go far if you’re not up for it… the yurts at The Old Dairy Farm sit in a secluded paddock with views over the South Downs and are 15 minutes on foot from woods where you can wander with four-legged friends in tow.

Fantastic yurts with comfy beds and ensuites. Relaxing, peaceful spot with attentive owners. Kids love the farm animals. Some privacy concerns near the jacuzzi and yurts can get warm. Hot tubs usually pre-heated, good cooking gear.

Liked No stress night away with children.
Everything included for cooking etc so we didn’t need to pack too much.
Hot tub pre-heated and ready to go.

Liked Peaceful location, attentive but respectful owner, only 4 Yurts in the field so feels very private. All amenities were provided, clean and good quality. Comfy bed. Choose this Yurt as they have an 'en-suit' bathroom, well worth it.

Yurt (hot tub)

Liked Debbie was so helpful directing us and making sure we had everything we needed. The yurt was luxurious. I hadn’t realised we’d have a mini fridge, fairy lights, an electric kettle! The bed was comfy, and I loved that each yurt has its own toilet/shower block attached to the back, so no running to the loo in the dark! Kids had an amazing time being screen free, and loved the field for garden games, and meeting the farm alpacas and goats.

Liked We really enjoyed our stay at the Old Dairy Farm, the yurt was beautifully decorated and the king size bed was so comfy, and the everything was supplied that we needed. Debbie and Lily were on hand if we needed anything so thank you for a great stay!

Liked The yurts were so homely and have EVERYTHING you need. The jacuzzi was brilliant and the grounds are stunning. The animals are so gorgeous and well looked after. We really had a brilliant time

Disliked No privacy around the jacuzzi, everyone staying all 4 yurts can see you. It got very hot in the yurt especially in the middle the heat rises and it was unbearable on day 2 and I couldn't sleep well due to this.

West of the site is Portsmouth and its historic dockyard (a 20-minute drive), home to the Mary Rose Museum and the 16th-century Tudor warship of the same name. The beachside resort of Southsea, just below the city, takes a similar amount of time to reach for strolling along a pebbly shoreline while dipping in and out of cute cafés. Chichester’s around 20 minutes east in the car for roaming the city's remaining Roman walls or checking out the famous Festival Theatre and cathedral. In Hampshire for the racing? Goodwood Motor Circuit is a 20-minute drive away too. If you're up for milking some time in nature, head to the South Downs National Park and its chalk hills, about 15 minutes to the north of the park. Another lovely place to visit is the natural sandy stretch of West Wittering, a 30-minute drive away and on the edge of the Chichester Harbour National Landscape.
