What customers say
Spacious New Forest site, woodland setting, choose your own pitch. Friendly staff, clean facilities (hot showers). Great for forest exploration, wildlife, and views. Some road noise and peak crowding, but overwhelmingly positive with many wanting to return.

Liked We loved this site, our third stay in the forest but first time here. Will definitely be back. Stunning quiet location with ponies all round. We walked 10km loop around via the Pig and Brockenhurst through beautiful nature. Nice pubs in Brockenhurst, and will definitely go back to the Pig.

Excellent staff and clean facilities in a forest setting
Unpowered grass site
Liked Great to camp in the forest rather than the usual regimented sites. Having the ponies and wildlife on your doorstep was brilliant.
No electric made it more of an escape.
Toilet and shower block was immaculate full credit to the guys on site.
Will certainly come back

Lovely site

Liked I stayed from Tuesday to Friday, I liked that you pick your own spot and it feels like wild camping but you have the benefit of a well kept toilet and shower block, a launderette and lockers (free to use) where you can charge your phones/ipad, but take a padlock to secure the locker.
The weekday vibe during school time is idyllic, nice and quiet, the ponies come right up and graze around the pitches. The vibe changed a little on the Friday when families arrived, when you select your pitch there is only a six foot gap rule between pitches so you are relient on people applying camping etiquette or it can feel a little intrusive. It’s a shame there isn’t an adult only enclosure.
I note other reviews commented on road noise, but if you pick a pitch farthest from the road near to the field this isn’t a problem.
This is a great site, the staff are friendly and helpful, the village is an easy 20 minute walk away and there is direct access from the site to walking trails through the forest.

Perfect woodland and wild horses setting
Unpowered grass site
Liked Lush staff, great location. Perfect setting. Beautiful wild animals. Great level pitching in woodlands then big open field which catches the sunrise and sun set. No set pitching can set up where you wish just keeping space from others.
Disliked Only slight disadvantage is the toilet and shower space is small.
Although it gives a wild woodland setting maybe an outside/covered bar area would be nice with lights

Great site out of busy times. Washrooms and toilets etc in good shape

Liked Freedom to pitch up where you wanted to within reason … but see dislikes too…
The site was flat and facilities were good with people all taking responsibility to keep everything neat and tidy.
Sunday night was great with real peace and quiet!!
Good late check in system after reception had closed.
Disliked Arrived about six on a Saturday evening and the whole site was very busy so very limited choice where to pitch ironically.

Really great facilities on site set in the new forest. Will recommend.

Liked How detailed the ranger was when we arrived, as it was our first time at this site. The facilities were top notch.
Disliked A group set up camp near us with multiple tents, they were quite noisy so we had to move. This isn’t the sites fault though as it’s explained at check in to keep space between camps.
