Liked: Overall stay was ok, our pitch was uneven and had a lots of loose rocks, bathrooms were ok without soap in dispensers,- they were filled up later on. Food at the restaurant way overpriced for pub like food, need a bit looked after- they were filled grass need cutting. Nobody have checked up by our bookings, felt like we could just drive in there without paying… strange.

Liked: We don’t really have a bad thing to say about this site, apart from we felt toilets were not cleaned regularly or enough through out the day. Overall lovely site, clean tidy and plenty for kids to do. Looks as though bits are getting upgraded and more work getting done but plenty for kids. First time here and we had a lovely week and will definitely return. Met lots of lovely people to and staff are really friendly, and helpful. We didn’t feel we had to rush off site either which was a big help as it lashed down during the night so had plenty time for tent to dry out,’.
Disliked: Toilets didn’t seem to be cleaned very regularly, just once a day (morning) feel they need to be cleaned every hour or so, due to the amount of children running in and out and they weren’t very clean come lunch time

Liked: The pitch was great, nice level ground with some trees for partial shelter.
The staff were extremely welcoming and happy to give advice and information.
The activities offered are great, some are free like swimming and the teddy bear hunt (which our 3 year old loved!)
The others like archery and the dino karts are paid for but are enjoyable and feel good value!
The borders restaurant is really nice, food is good with some really attentive staff.
Arcade is varied and modern, so we definitely spent too much time in there!
The evening entertainment was decent, the kids enjoyed it and we found there was enough for all ages to enjoy.
Toilet blocks were close to our pitch, they were always clean and the showers were always hot.
Disliked: Box fish was not the best.

Liked: Welfare facilities. Bar and restaurant area.
Disliked: Most pitches were rutted and devoid of grass. Pitches were for every type of vehicle so tents would be erected on uneven and rough pitches mostly used by caravans or motorhomes. I think that the site mostly catered for these type of vehicles. This is our 2nd visit to Solway in about 2 months. The first was a spur of the moment booking the 2nd was booked well in advance. If I had known what the pitches were like I would not have booked. The shower and toilet block is new and we'll kept but there is nowhere to hang your garments or wash bag when showering except for one hook on the side. The restaurant and bar area were ok but staff were not too helpful. The on site fish and chip shop (Box Fish) was terrible.
