What customers say
Great spot, lovely and quiet with top facilities – clean loos, shower blocks, a popular bakery, and a friendly pub. Easy to get to, with heaps of walks, including a nice stroll to Lowther Castle. Staff are dead friendly and helpful, making it a welcoming vibe. Most reckon it's a ripper, though a few reckon the shower blocks could do with a spruce-up and a bit more elbow grease. Pitches are mostly okay, but some felt a bit snug.

A quiet, peaceful, dog walkers paradise.
Powered grass tent or trailer tent site
Liked The facilities were very good-I’ve never seen a bath at a holiday park!
My children were never out of the park, which we didn’t mind as it was right in front of our tent. Our dog enjoyed a paddle in the on site river. Good location with short commutes to key walking areas e.g Ullswater, Pately Bridge, Aira force waterfall etc.
Disliked *The games room was not really a games room due to lots of the machines being out of order or not working•
*The shop was very expensive and basic.
*Some older children continued to enter the park and were horrible to younger children (although this point is a parenting issue not a park issue)
*This park has focused on adults with not enough to engage young children e.g amusements, entertainment, activities etc.
*volume of traffic whilst commuting to other areas in the locality.

Lovely friendly place. Set in beautiful grounds
Powered grass tent or trailer tent site
Liked Lovely camp site. Staff very welcoming and helpful. On site shop and pub and restraint.
Pitched are a good size (tent ) walking round even the caravan pitches were a good size.
Beautiful walk down the path along the river were you can enter and a fab place to take the dogs if you take them.
Disliked I am no means put of by the dislikes but did make a slight difference in the ease if camping.
No toilets or showers any were near the camping. Almost felt like the small area fir tents was for picket money. Very much a holiday home caravan site. Tent area has a slope on it so hard to find a flat spot for bedroom area in tent and a long walk to the nearest toilet block.
Jad to keep hand on button for shower and not very hot.

Clean but dated
Powered grass and gravel caravan site (super)
Liked Plenty of toilets, sinks and showers. Also has a bath.
Disliked Pitches very close with little privacy or space. No inclusive toilet facilities available and no help with accessing a radar key for the disabled. Told to buy one from Argos! Needs updating and comparable sites have much better toilet blocks now. Focus is on the owners of statics. Could not locate the motorhome service point so had to leave without emptying grey waste tank.

Liked River walk was nice,
Disliked Cramped tent pitches. Pitched our roof tent and went for a walk along the river with my 3 year old son. Came back and a group had set up in the pitch next to us, were on the beer. Swearing etc and late teenage kids flying through our pitch on bikes etc. made the decision at 6pm to leave the site and stayed at another site.

Liked Nice staff, good pizza.
Disliked Tent pitches were far too close together. Very sloped and uneven ground. Toilet block is too far away for camping pitches. Overall a loud and crowded site, not very relaxing. Showers stay on for less than 5 seconds and tepid water.
