Liked: Well tendered pitches , tidy looked after lawns. In a great location with quiet lanes for cycling to get around the lakes. Friendly staff. Will come again when the pub is open to try their food & drink which is highly reccomend in reviews.
Disliked: Pub closed on a Monday. Should have done my research but had the whole place to myself.

From the manager: Thank you for taking the time to write this review! There is plenty of cycling in the area! Cycle the salway is an event that takes place from Watchtree Nature Reserve just around the corner. With 5,10,50 and 100k routs. Look forward to your next visit! Hopefully with a cold pint and a meal.

From the manager: We are delighted you enjoyed our food offerings but we are sorry you didn't enjoy your stay with us. Pitch up do an amazing job in helping sites like ourselves put all the information possible in our ad i.e. how far our local shop/butchers is, how far the coast or lake district is, how far to the city centre and much more. They also make sure we advertise our facilities correctly! So we advertise that there is no toilets or showers on site but toilets are available in the pub within the pub opening hours. And dogs are more than welcome on the site and beer garden but not in the pub as we are a very busy pub for food and much much more. All this is there for you to read before you make a decision on if what we offer is right for your needs or not! As a family run country pub and caravan site we take pride in what we provide for our community and guests to the area. We do our best to keep the site and gardens clean, tidy and manicured. We do all this ourselves so we can keep an eye on cleanliness and upkeep. We check all pitches when guests leave to make sure the pitches and communal areas are clean and tidy for our next visitors. The 2/10 for cleanliness is the shocker and we and our staff are known for being very friendly and approachable so any problems with your stay could have been brought to our attention and resolved. We would like to have known what it was that you found so we could have sorted this. As you only stayed with us a couple of days ago nothing has come to our attention. Happy travels. Liked: Beautifully kept little site just at the back of a quaint little pub. The food was lovely and the owner was friendly and professional
Disliked: No shower/toilet facilities - would be a great addition to this site - it's more of a pub stop over site in my opinion
