  • Spacious site within Blakemere Village shopping and recreation centre
  • Microbrewery, falconry displays, adventure playground and restaurant
  • Within half an hour's drive of Chester Zoo and Blue Planet Aquarium
Sit back and spend some quality time together at Blakemere Touring Caravan Park, set in the central Cheshire countryside. Warm and friendly, and with excellent facilities to match, this spot has exactly what you need if you want to relax with your favourite people. A bus stop with convenient routes to Northwich and Chester is a short stroll from the site. Together with Cuddington train station, 25 minutes’ walk away, there’s also access to the lovely market town of Knutsford and the historic city of Chester. Calling all archers… also potters, shoppers and falcon fans… for Blakemere Touring Caravan Park is also in a prime slice of the countryside adjacent to Blakemere Village. This attraction has a shopping centre housed in a block of converted Edwardian stables, alongside a miniature railway, and may be the only village where you can saunter from an archery range to an antiques market, or slot a falconry display alongside making and painting your own mugs. If you’re peckish, there are many great places to eat and drink in the village, which includes pubs, a coffee bar and several artisan food outlets. Barbecues are allowed for those who want to dine outdoors. Pick up provisions from the farm shop just a five-minute drive down the road and do your chopping, grating and dicing in the food prep area. The kids might be so chuffed with the adventure playground that they offer to do the washing up… Dogs are welcome: the adjacent Mersey Forest makes a fine venue for walks with canine companions and there’s a tap to hand for the cleaning off of muddy paws.

Liked: Facilities Good ,flat pitch

Disliked: Digger from 7.30am

From the manager: Thank you for your review, sorry the contractor started work onsite at 7:30, they are aware that any work shouldn't start until 8am. As we are a 12 month site, we are trying to finish work onsite that should have been completed but due to the adverse weather conditions we are running behind. If you had come in to speak to us we would have moved you to a quieter pitch. We are glad you liked the facilities and the flat pitch and we do hope you will return.

Gold fully-serviced gravel caravan site

Liked: Very well maintained park, with very friendly and helpful staff. The showers and toilets are of a high standard, frequently cleaned. Had a fully serviced pitch which was well worth it. Great location for getting out and about in Cheshire

Disliked: We always prefer a grass pitch but it’s not a deal breaker!

From the manager: Thank you for the 5* review. All of our pitches are hard standing with the exception of our camping field, for the use of tents and tent boxes. We are glad you enjoyed your stay with us and we look forward to seeing you again soon...

Gold fully-serviced gravel caravan site

Liked: Facilities excellent. Spacious site and well kept.

Disliked: Motorbike noise from main road. On Sunday 16/06/24. Needs police presence, as most Definitely breaking the speed limit, considerably.

Recommend to friends Visit again

From the manager: Thank you for the review, unfortunately, as we are situated adjacent to the main road A556 and also the A49 sometimes we do hear motorists misbehaving, however this is out of our control and a job for the Cheshire police. We are glad you found the site spacious and well kept and we look forward to seeing you again.

Local attractions

With Blakemere Village containing days'worth of stuff to do and see, no-one would blame you for staying put and savouring it all... if you do fancy venturing further afield though, Cheshire is chock full of options... Perhaps the on-site birds of prey aviary and falconry displays have piqued your interest? If so, take a trip to Chester Zoo and its underwater equivalent, the Blue Planet Aquarium (both 25 minutes’ drive), for encounters furry, fanged and cute. For a closer look at wildlife, Wood Lane Nature Reserve and the nearby Fenn’s, Whixall and Bettisfield Mosses (50 minutes) draw birdwatchers and walkers in search of avocets and herons, adders and flesh-eating bog plants. If that sounds a bit alien, beetle over to Jodrell Bank Discovery Centre to take a look at the universe through the Lovell Telescope, or travel back to 13th-century times at Beeston Castle, both 25 minutes away. Don’t forget rock and pop history at The Cavern 50 minutes away in Liverpool, along with the Tate gallery, the busy waterfront and the ferries across the Mersey…
