Liked: Friendly and welcoming owners. The honesty jar for fresh eggs and fire pit is a lovely touch. Loved seeing the chickens and geese roaming freely. Great little site and my kids loved it. Thank you.

Unpowered grass tent site

Liked: Brilliant site, extremely clean and well looked after. The communal fridge was great, and the ample fire pits they had to use was also fab! The kids loved going seeing the pigs they have and going on the riverside walk. Couldn't recommend it enough.

Disliked: Nothing!

Liked: The field was well maintained, owners very nice and welcoming. Very clean toilets and showers they even had sun tan lotion dispensers. They ran a small farm where we were welcome to walk round. Beautiful views. All round lovely campsite. They had WiFi available for no extra cost but not used due to the views.

Liked: Returning visit for us. Always friendly and welcoming onsite, fridge use and Firepit hire very handy. Beautiful scenery and pitching options. Can hear road traffic but it’s not distracting or enough to keep awake at night.

Unpowered grass tent site

Liked: Fab little place for my daughter’s first camping trip. Lots of space, showers and toilets were very clean, communal fridge, kettle and microwave. Wi-fi. Chimneas/fire pits available for hire and BBQ’s are allowed off the ground (blocks provided) There are pigs on site to look at and a small river that runs either side of the campsite (fishing allowed). Owner was friendly and very helpful. Now it didn’t bother us but it is close to a road.

Unpowered grass tent site

Liked: Communal fridge to keep beers cold! Hosts very friendly. Clean. Nice to be on a farm. Walking distance to nearest village, silsden with shops, pubs, cafes, restaurants etc. walking distance to a big Aldi. Reasonably priced. We are locals ourself and was just coming to test the waters out camping with our dog for the first time but even though we weren’t far from home we both said we would come back as we could be anywhere as the site was so lovely.

Local attractions

Once you’ve thoroughly explored the Aire Valley, there’s plenty more for walkers and cyclists to see over in the Yorkshire Dales National Park (20 minutes’ drive), or with a meander along the towpath of the Leeds and Liverpool Canal (five minutes). Or, if you’d like your outdoor time to be filled in a different way, perhaps try the Silsden Golf Driving Range (two minutes). Places for a gentle stroll are plentiful, too – maybe you’d like to wander the grounds of Cliffe Castle Museum and Park (10 minutes) and the gorgeous Bolton Abbey estate (20 minutes) or take a tour through the well-preserved medieval rooms of Skipton Castle (15 minutes). The Italianate architecture of ‘model village’ Saltaire (15 minutes) makes this another lovely place for a day out. For other options, take a trip to Ilkley (15 minutes) to swim in the river and try out its foodie shops, learn about one of the nation’s favourite literary families at Brontë Parsonage Museum (20 minutes) or visit the Royal Pump Museum and have tea at Betty's Tea Rooms in Harrogate (40 minutes).
