  • Simple campsite with moorland views 15 minutes’ drive from Bradford
  • The Piece Hall 15 minutes’ drive; Brontë Parsonage Museum 20 minutes
  • Grass pitches on a farm field; five minutes’ walk to the pub
Get back to nature with a down-to-earth camping adventure at Two Acre Camping, set in a farm meadow with far-reaching views over the wild moors of West Yorkshire, and 15 minutes’ drive from Bradford. There’s an abundance of local walks direct from the site, so you can exercise yourselves and any accompanying dogs in peaceful woodland or on nigh-deserted country lanes. For a typically friendly Yorkshire night out, take a leisurely stroll to the local foodie pub (five minutes’ walk), where you can tuck into fine beers and tempting pub food – and if you’re craving a curry, Bradford is of course the curry capital of the UK. Simple this place may be, but it’s all designed for your comfort and convenience, with fresh water access, easy cassette-emptying facilities and portable toilets. And you’ll be able to rest easy in your tent, knowing that the gate to the camping field is securely fastened at night.

Liked: Everything! Clean & well maintained facilities and the campsite is just overall a lovely place to stay. The views surrounding Two Acres Campsite are stunning - green hills as far as you can see! It’s also easily accessible to some fantastic walking paths in the area too - including Thornton Viaduct. One footpath connects to a path leading to a small “lodge” (watch out for the peacocks and fancy chickens along the way!) where you can buy refreshments and stop to enjoy the surroundings. Site owners Mick & Heather and their family were beyond welcoming and helpful - I enjoyed my stay so much that I extended it and will be back in future for sure! I’ve already recommended it to other van-friends.

Disliked: Nothing.

Liked: Lovely little plot, such lovely people running the site, really friendly and let us borrow a wheel barrow to take our camping stuff down. Farm animals can be seen on the way to the site and just around the corner is a lovely little walk. Will go again.

Disliked: Nothing really to do with the site, but the pub you go past onto the way to the site, requires you to book for a meal

Unpowered grass site

Liked: The site was was great - as described there are no amenities other than a toilet and clean water tap, but we didn't need anything as were in a camper. The views were spectacular, looking down into the valley below with the lights of Bradford twinkling in the distance. Mike was super friendly and helpful, and as bonus we had the place to ourselves! Will definitely be back

Unpowered grass site

Liked: We had a warm and friendly welcome from the site owners Mick and Heather who couldn’t have been more helpful. This is a small semi wild campsite with the facilities being a porterloo (spotlessly clean) and a cold water tap. This is exactly what we were looking for. We pitched in a small wooded area and were able to choose where we wanted to put up our tent. There is a grassed area also available for those who prefer that. We rented a fire pit and bought wood for it from Mick. Mick delivered wood to us daily. Our pitch was pretty, quiet and peaceful, we had plenty of space and felt very relaxed there. Access to the site is via an electric gate and we were given a dongle to operate it so we could come and go at will. All in all, we loved this campsite and an added bonus was the Junction Inn at the top of the track, also very good with excellent food and drinks and welcoming staff. We liked it so much that we stayed an extra day. We’ll definitely be back there again.

Disliked: Nothing to dislike. Apart from having to come home!

Unpowered grass site

Liked: The setting. The small site has both open and grass and woodland options for pitches. Both were stunning. The hosts. Very friendly hosts who couldn't do enough for you. Very welcoming and helpful, but also left you to it once you were settled They also brought a big box of outdoor toys for my 4 year old so he was kept occupied the whole time and gave us a variety of outdoor games to play. Hosts also have 2 adorable dogs
