Liked: My partner and I loved our stay at this campsite, great location for local pubs, walks and shops. and we had plenty of space to pitch our tent. We particularly loved Gordon (flash) the campsite boss, he was so friendly and helpful and we loved having a natter with him! We cant wait to go again next year.
Disliked: The weather forecast as we would have stayed longer.

Liked: The guy on site was excellent. Very friendly and helpful. The village is amazing.
Disliked: Thus site is a work in progress. It is a building site at the bottom where we were located. There is a compound for machinery, but dumpers etc just left out. There are several scrap caravans and containers left open, some containing fuel, very dangerous. Lits of rubbish to be seen. Bins were all overflowing. No dog waste bins, and nowhere on site to walk dogs. Worst was the toilet/shower blocks. Altho clean, very very dated. Only 1 toilet in the men's and 1 shower, 2 in the ladies and 1 shower. No where near enough and the site is expanding. BUILD MORE TOILETS FIRST.

Liked: A really friendly welcome from Gordon the Warden. He had even found the driest pitches after torrential rain. Hot water available on tap, shower block and toilets were spotless. Excellent stay.

Liked: Gordon the warden. He was so helpful, considerate & friendly with a lifetime of local knowledge. The site was well kept although I believe there are plans for expansion & new facilities. Our quiet mid week stay was perfect for us on a fully serviced pitch.
Disliked: The bins were full when we left due to the refuse collection not happening the previous day.

Liked: Location of site and campsite itself
Disliked: There is no access to kitty’s creak from the campsite and there’s is no onsite fishing due to construction work on the river side, this needs to be updated on information as it’s false advertising, a fishing permit for the river is £60 per day per person
