What customers say
Lovely, peaceful rural spot with stunning views and spacious pitches. Owners are super friendly, especially Harry. Basic but clean loos; an honesty shop's a bonus. Some mention loo smells & wish for more facilities. Great for quiet breaks with walks nearby.

Amazing stay!!
Unpowered grass tent site
Liked First time camping and absolutely amazing. We were really nervous because our first time camping somewhere else it was a disaster due to high winds and it was meant to be high winds when we were going here so I emailed Harry about this. He kindly rang and was so friendly on the phone saying that if we felt uncomfortable we could rearrange for another time or go and give it a go and if we weren't comfortable , then we could leave and rearrange.
When we got there he met us and showed us a great spot to camp to help with high winds. Told us about walks around the site and told us about the little honesty shop they had.
Me and my boyfriend had the most amazing time, it was amazing because there was only us and one other couple who were there and they were out pretty much all day!! The views are wonderful, surrounded by trees that are great even for high winds, a few walks to do around the site and it's lovely and quiet.
There are picnic tables around and a portaloo and running water tap.
Harry was so kind and said that because it was quiet, we could leave the next morning as late as we wanted (check out is 11am) so that was amazing!
We are now fully converted to the camping life and it's mainly due to how amazing harry was so thank you so much for all the help and reassurance and guidance!
Disliked Don't know If it was the hand-wash or the water to wash your hands, but It made your hands smell AWFUL!
Check in is until 8pm but we had a family arrive just past 9pm and ruined our view by parking infront of us ( they weren't really close but out of everywhere and all the space available, they had to park there and ruin the view) was not happy because they didn't finish setting up till about 9.30pm and the kids were running around. At this time we just wanted to chill and enjoy the quiet...not have that. This didn't ruin the stay and they were thankfully gone by the time we got up next morning but still wasn't happy.

Liked Our second time here, another fantastic night we had, we booked for 2 but the weather wasn’t on our side the second night, but we stayed until late afternoon. We couldn’t fault this site! The cleanliness is second to none! Outstanding! The views, the walks, the owners, they are so helpful and make you feel so at ease!, walking along side the cattle on our walks, felt like a dream. We can’t wait to return again! We’ve found our new favourite place! Amazing.
