Endless sea views at brook house farm

  • Static caravan with North Sea views on a Whitby farm, North Yorkshire
  • Access to The Cleveland Way from site; Goathland 20 minutes’ drive
  • Kitchen and private decking; pubs and shops 20 minutes’ walk
Seaside holiday or stay in an historic town? No need to decide when you book a break at Brook House Farm, set on clifftops with breathtaking sea and moorland views but just 20 minutes’ walk from the centre of Whitby. You have the rest of both worlds: peace and seclusion on a working farm, yet townie attractions like shops, pubs and restaurants close at hand too. Well-insulated against any inclement Yorkshire weather, the accommodation is in a static caravan sleeping four in proper beds, with living, dining and kitchenette areas and plenty of space so you don’t get under each other’s feet. You’ll have awesome North Sea panoramas from the timber decking – there’s also a sheltered gravelled area for catching the sun – and mysterious Whitby Abbey stands out on the horizon. Brook House Farm is surrounded on all sides by green fields and the sea; there is secure private parking at the site, which is at the end of a no-through road. Your only company is very likely to be the pigs, Suzie the friendly sheep and the occasional moggy on pest-control duties.

What customers say

Peaceful, small farm with stunning sea/Abbey views. Friendly owners, great for walking into Whitby. Facilities are basic but clean, though some say amenities (toilet/shower) are minimal/dated. Minor Wi-Fi/toilet seat issues mentioned. Guests love it and want to return.

Liked Amazing views, nice quiet site with only 5 pitches. Easy walk to Whitby Abbey and close to Saltwick beach. We loved Charlie the horse and his antics. Toilet and shower were clean and good. Owners were really friendly.

Disliked No washing up facilities. Hot water and a sink would be helpful.

Liked A Perfect, Peaceful Getaway at Brook Farm
My recent stay at Brook House Farm holiday caravan was an absolute delight. If you're looking for a truly peaceful and relaxing escape, this is the place. The entire site had a wonderfully tranquil atmosphere, perfect for unwinding from the stresses of daily life.
What really stood out was how incredibly clean everything was. The caravan itself was spotless and impeccably well-maintained, making it easy to settle in and feel completely comfortable from the moment we arrived. The attention to detail in keeping the facilities so pristine made the experience even more enjoyable.
For a holiday that combines a serene setting with a high standard of cleanliness, I can't recommend Brook Farm enough. It's the ideal spot for a rejuvenating break.

Liked Loved the location, so close to Saltwick Bay 20 min slow walk. Beach idea for fossil hunting and dog walking. The views are outstanding over the cliff and Whitby Abbey in the Horizon and again a short walk to Abbey and the town.
Only about 5 pitches and a lodge cabin so nice and quite with horses and goats in fields next to you.
Very clean and tidy site well maintained and nice hot water shower and toilet cabin.

Disliked nothing.
