What customers say
Great site, top facilities, fab location & staff. Lovely cafe/pizza, big pitches, near Bolton Abbey. Some sloping pitches, pricy extra parking. A few noise/security grumbles and one mention of wet weather.

Really good, would recommend.
Unpowered grass campervan, tent or trailer tent site
Liked Firstly the emails to provide information on where to eat and visit was a nice touch.
On arrival, the staff were really friendly and happy to help. Provided a map and opening hours for the on site facilities.
Travelled down to find a nice non electric pitch.
Facilities are really good, shop and cafe on site are very good. Toilets are really clean and seemed to be kept that way.
Really good location, walked down to Bolton Abbey from the site and clocked up around 10km around that area. Which was a lovely place and had a lot for kids!
Disliked I did pay extra for a larger pitch, however not sure what the extra payment got me as I just ended up being told to find my own pitch in any with available spaces.
There was a drone that was flown over in the late afternoon/early evening. Which was a little odd and it stayed over some of the tents for periods of time, felt a little intrusive. However, not sure if this was something to do with the site or someone staying there.

Lovely campsite !

Liked Very pretty campsite . Quiet and relaxing . The wooden games and park were great for the kids. We all loved the alpacas and we were asked if we wanted to go into the pen with them. The showers were great in the shower block. Cats kitchen looked great and if we had stayed longer we would definitely have a pizza ! Great to be able to walk to Bolton Abbey and The Devonshire Arms!
Disliked Could have done with a stool or shelf in the shower cubicle to place bags/ items onto. There were plenty of pegs however ,it was just slightly difficult to hang everything up.

Liked Good family friendly site. Pizzas good. Lovely staff.
Disliked Fire pits. They were everywhere, and our tent and everything stunk when we got home. What made this really sad, is the drought and the number of wildfires in the area. Not responsible imo. Also, music on in toilet block all night. And lights on bright all night. Maybe they could be dimmed during quiet hours?
Only 2 toilets out of 4 open.

Liked The atmosphere was absolutely brilliant – lively, friendly, and great for families and groups. The facilities on site were excellent, especially Cat’s Kitchen, which served some of the best pizzas and a delicious sausage butty. The onsite bar was another highlight, with good prices, a great vibe, and plenty of seating. The shop was well stocked with everything you might need, and we really appreciated the BBQ pack – fantastic quality and perfect for an evening around the fire.
Disliked The only real letdown was the toilet and shower facilities. The campsite was really busy with families and children, but there just weren’t enough toilets and showers to cope with the number of people. They also needed cleaning much more regularly – on the Saturday, there was actually poo on the walls of one of the toilets which stayed there all day, which was pretty disgusting. The showers also weren’t cleaned for the whole of our stay, and floors that didn’t feel fresh or clean

None of the rules followed, absolute mayhem

Liked The campsite is good. Cafe opens when it wants. Logs sold are not ready to be burnt, they smoke the campsite out. I have mild asthma so it got on my chest. Residents at the campsite are disrespectful, dogs not on leafs snd crapping everywhere. They don't adhere to the curfew. 10.30 pm till 7am. First night, we had to call security, gone 11pm, we had the noise from 8pm, we thought ok. Apparently security go around regularly, no they don't. That family went, then we had a new family pitch next up. They asked if they could add another tent. We said ok. But 2 tents and a gazebo arrived. Noise all night every night. No sleep till Wednesday night ,when I said what I thought. Finally some sleep. I would not recommend this site. Security do not go round to check at all.
Disliked Noise, lack of security and logs not ready to be burnt, smoking the campsite out.
