Liked: Not limited to check in/out times. Residents of site friendly. Level pitches. Water & electric available. Multi unit pitch. Good base for day trips to York & Bridlington. Relatively small site.
Disliked: No WiFi No proprietors available - we could have rocked up without paying! No reception. No shop. Site under renovation. Drainage smells. Showers poor. Nothing like photos. Play area broken.

Liked: Rocky welcomed us in pouring rain and gave us info on site and local area .. thank you . Pitch was great, hard standing and view over field . Enough space for awning. Shower block clean. Good walking area at back of site if you have a dog .
Disliked: Site under new management and they are working on it . Basic playground with missing rods on climbing area. No hot water in dishwashing area . No shop.

Liked: I like good communication and positive energy from the manager (Rocky) and the lady on the phone. We camped next to the toilet and shower and had a radio the first night. It didn't let me sleep. When I talked to Rocky the next day, he promised to turn it off at 5 p.m. He even did it a little earlier, giving me the opportunity to have a wonderful, peaceful sleep ❤️. What surprised me was that we could arrive on the first day and leave on the last day at any time. This is a great thing, especially on the day of departure, because you can pack whenever you want. The location of the site is very good. Just 15 minutes from the Yorkshire Air Museum if that's your thing and 20 minutes from York. The toilets were very clean, no spiders which is a big deal for a 6 year old. Electric pitch price is very good.
Disliked: Toilets could be refreshed. The playground needs repairs and cleaning. A bit crowded. Since you can arrive and leave at any time, there are no clearly marked pitches. As long as the power cord is long enough, you can place the tent anywhere you want. For this reason it may be a bit overcrowded.

Fully-serviced grass and gravel site
Liked: Quite even though pitched with permanent residents on site. Clear signs that improvements are being made around the site. The site manager was very welcoming and friendly. Toilets and showers clean.
Disliked: Not being made aware the site looks NOTHING as advertised. Please do not take the main site advert as how it looks now! Site muddy with no clear path as depicted. Lots and lots of caravans and storage in a small.space! Not fully serviced as described, no WiFi as described. The hard standing was some gravel and bricks dumped on ground...although was a flat pitch!

Fully-serviced grass and gravel site
Liked: Location was good distance to York. Staff where pleasant
Disliked: Play area was like a construction / demolition site. Rubble, planks of wood (some with nails sticking out) were littered around the site along with large pulled out tree stumps. The dog walk was filled with giant hog weed…which burns humans and dogs. Toilet / shower facilities, whilst clean smelled really bad and we’re in need of modernising.

Liked: Host couldn’t have been more welcoming or helpful, quick & easy check-in and a very nice area. Level pitches and reasonable price for electric.
Disliked: Shower/toilet facilities could do with an update but they serve a purpose and were clean.
