What customers say
A peaceful, well-kept spot with a great owner. Pitches are spacious with water/electric, facilities are clean. Kids love the fishing pond. Some minor points noted, but owner's taking feedback onboard.

The lodge has a lot of…
2 bedroom lodge (hot tub)
Liked The lodge has a lot of potential.
The rooms were decent with fresh bed linen and towels.
The fishing pond was a fantastic addition; the kids really enjoyed it (rod fees were reasonable).
Disliked The decking area is in need of a fresh coat of paint.
Inside, curtains were not properly hooked, and some were dirty.
Ants on the kitchen worktop created an unpleasant experience.
The hot tub water had a strange smell, and by the second day, odd colored bubbles appeared, making it feel unclean. We experienced a large number of flies inside the lodge, which was quite frustrating. It would help if the owners put measures in place in advance, such as fly traps or other pest-control solutions.

From the manager: I'm supprised to hear all that ...especialy when all the other bookings on site complained you where making so much noise partying Friday night, As for the hot tub, you where happy enough when I first showed you, clean fresh water, testered in the morning.
Sorry but i should have told you every one needs to shower before they get into the hot tub to wash off all the make up, sun tan lotion and dirt off there bodies.
I have never had a complaint in 4 years about flyes and ants before, but I agree there is alot of ants and flys about everywhere due to the exceptional hot weather, sorry i'm not able to control that.
Lastly I notice or you made sure I did, that you wiped all the the table and chairs on the unpainted decking in the first quarter of an hour on your arrival which was wiped and clean by my cleaner the day before and you don't paint decking....
Kind regards.

Liked Loved the peacefulness of this campsite, Owner Barry very welcoming, friendly and helpful. Pitches are a good size. Fishing lake is a little small if a lot of campers wanted to fish but well stocked with large fish. We will definitely be going back
