  • Three-acre rural Norfolk site with easy access from the A140
  • A 20-minute drive to Norwich; 45 minutes to Norfolk beaches
  • Fenced dog exercise area; recreation room with sofas, pool and darts
Welcome to Wuzzys World… and what a fine world it is to live in, with lots of open space and some good facilities to use while you’re here. Wuzzys World Campsite is just outside the Norfolk village of Tasburgh, with easy access from the A140 – and that means not only straightforward manoeuvring into the site but also equally easy ability to get out and about, whether you’re heading up into Norwich, aiming for the beaches of the east coast or exploring The Broads National Park. Guest numbers are limited here, so you’ll be guaranteed to have a good amount of space to spread out in. The 1.5-acre site is completely fenced, so it’s safe and secure all around, and directly next to it is another 1.5 acres that’s mostly used for the owners’ dogs to have a good run around; you’re welcome to use this space for the same purpose if you’re bringing your dogs along. (This area has a doggy bin and water supply so they can have a drink and/or a wash…) Other facilities on site include a washing-up area and two separate toilet/shower and sink units that have pressurised water cylinders to provide constant hot water for the showers. Motorhomes can use a drive-over grey waste disposal point or empty tanks into the cesspit if more convenient. Evenings may well be spent tending your barbecue, but you’ll also have some indoor space to relax in should you prefer – this recreation room is in a converted school mobile unit that’s now been fitted out with comfy seating, a dartboard and a pool table, along with a kitchen area that’s got a fridge and freezer.

Bell tent (no pets)

Liked: The bell tent on the platform was fun and gave wonderful views. On the hottest day of the year the cool breeze shaded by the trees was perfect. The camping mats provided under the tent ground sheet were surprisingly comfortable. The outside chair and table good quality and saves having to take own chairs.A very quiet site perfect for a night or two away from every day life. Don’t he put off by the drive through the units to get to the site. Toilets and showers clean and spacious. A friendly pre arrival phone call from the host was welcomed.

Disliked: The trip down the ladder and across the field in the middle of the night for the loo

Power optional grass and earth caravan site

Liked: Map/plan of site with our name on our pitch. The fab secure dog field. The peace and quiet. The size of the pitch. The convenience of where it is, close to Norwich and the Harford park and ride. The site is sort of level. All day breakfast at the Nursery/garden centre next door!

Disliked: Not having a hard standing, as I always worry that our 4Âź ton motorhome might get bogged down on a grass pitch. Even though it rained the ground was still solid.

Power optional grass and earth tent or trailer tent site

Liked: Loved this place. The owner has thought of everything in the light of his customers. Games room for adults or children, clean toilets and showers, spacious pitches, kitchen to store your goods, very good price for what you get. Plenty of loo roll and soap provided in toilets. You can clearly see that the owner has put his special touch on making sure the place is nice for his customers, we were very happy staying here.

Disliked: Nothing to dislike here in my opinion.

Local attractions

There are rural activities galore around here, including fishing at Taswood Lakes (five minutes’ drive), nature walks at Tyrrel’s Wood (10 minutes), and canoeing on the Waveney river (20 minutes). You also won’t have far to travel to visit The 100th Bomb Group Memorial Museum (20 minutes) or Bressingham Steam Museum & Gardens (25 minutes), home to all sorts of engines as well as a classic merry-go-round. For a taste of city life, head north to Norwich (20 minutes, or catch the bus from just outside the site) to see the cathedral and castle or wander through the colourful old streets and see what you can pick up from the market. If you’re more in the mood for rural scenery, head instead to The Broads National Park (half an hour), where you can explore the waterways on a cruise, hire your own boat or walk/bike around. And of course it’s not far to the coast, either, so you may like to plan beach days in Southwold or Lowestoft (both 45 minutes).
