  • Family-friendly caravan and camping park in West Norfolk
  • A 25 minute drive to Sandringham Estate, 45 minutes to Ely Cathedral
  • Dog walks direct from grass pitches; plenty of space for kids to play
Longing for some quiet downtime in the Norfolk Fens? Here’s your chance, for 7 Ducks is a peaceful sort of caravan and camping park on the outskirts of the small village of Walpole Highway. Set in 4.5 acres, it’s dotted by wildflower meadows, with frequent wildlife spottings and often spectacular sunsets. Bring the kids, as there’s lots of room for them to run around and play safely. And bring any four-legged chums, too, as there are dog walks straight from the pitches – oh, and don't forget to bring the bikes to cycle quiet (and often flat) country lanes. Firepits are on hand if you’re looking forward to sparking up the barbecue for a bit of alfresco cookery – buy supplies from Wisbech supermarkets (10 minutes’ drive). If that’s all too much hard work, there are several very good foodie pubs within 15 minutes’ drive. Access to the site is easy for vehicles of all sizes, thanks to the 27-foot-wide entrance gate, and shower facilities are available as well.

Powered grass caravan site

Liked Lovely people who run the site, very welcome and always available, site was always well kept and would always open up the shop if site was quiet.
Very spacious pitch with plenty of room for camper and awning.
Children were able to play freely in the centre so we could keep and eye on them and dog was able to sit and people watch.
Evenings were quiet and peaceful so very easy to relax

Will definitely be coming back

Disliked Our only dislike was the temperamental showers, so would recommend your own shower and pop up tent like we did, and we had plenty of room on our pitch so wasn't an inconvenience.
We did speak with the owners and they kindly explained that refurb is due and due to planning permission required, had to provide the best they can. so please don't let this put you off

Unpowered grass caravan, tent or trailer tent site

Liked We loved everything about this camping site! It was very clean, spacious, and peaceful. The owners were extremely helpful, friendly, and welcoming. We truly enjoyed our stay and would definitely come back. Highly recommended!

Disliked The only thing we didn’t like was having to pay £15 per day for the fire pit. At other campsites we visited, the fire pit was included for free. It would be more reasonable to charge once for the entire stay rather than daily. The package also includes firewood, which was very good quality, but we still think the fire pit itself should be free to use, with guests only paying for extra wood if needed.

From the manager: Thank youfor a lovely review ,

but as regards the firepits, we stop no one bringing their own the only stipulation being that they go on bricks so not to burn the grass

7 Ducks firepits are cast iron and when ordered you get everything required Kiln dried hard wood Logs that throw out lots of heat , Kinderling, Firelighters and matches so the only thing that needs to be done is to strike a match

many book their firepits when they make their booking. so if they have 2 nights of firepits booked they are provided a firepit for the evening and each day its collected cleaned then resupplied .

we review our competitors firepit prices and we are always the mid to lower end of the price range

Unpowered grass caravan, tent or trailer tent site

Liked Big sky, plenty of room, fire pit option, friendly help and advice, walks from the campsite, safe adventure for the kids and not far from kings lynn.

Disliked Quite exposed and some noise from the main road.

Unpowered grass caravan, tent or trailer tent site

Liked Massive pitches (suitable for a range of tents and vehicles, and give you enough space if coming with others). Beautifully kept field with lovely views, great toilet, washing up and shower facilities. Hosts very helpful and a small reception should you require anything. Fire pits are available to hire with wood for a good price, although we were unable to due to the high winds during our stay (the hosts were very honest about the likelihood of it being worth it). Free benches available which is also fab!

Disliked Not a dislike, but perhaps not the wisest choice in the event of high winds (or storm Dave) if in a tent due to the open space.

Liked A lovely big site with electric and in your own bay
The owners were very friendly and happy to oblige with local facilities and local places of interest.

Disliked Didn’t really dislike anything it is an open site so you do get the wind, also hot water was hit and miss.
Toilets were clean but I found the steps a bit steep

From the manager: Thanks for the lovely review

We did contemplate installing ramps to the toilets, but as we will be upgrading our toilets, ready for the 2027 season we decided against it.

Local attractions

Big-hitting attractions in this corner of Norfolk include Sandringham Estate (25 minutes’ drive), where you can make like the royals by touring Sandringham House, exploring the lavishly planted gardens and taking afternoon tea in the really-rather-posh café. Norman-era Ely Cathedral (45 minutes) also draws the crowds with its ornate architecture, 19th-century painted ceiling and Stained Glass Museum. To blow away any cobwebs, head for Heacham (35 minutes) for bracing walks on the Peddars Way and Norfolk Coast Path or a potter on the sandy beach. Big-sister resort Hunstanton (40 minutes) is a busier spot, with amusement arcades and fairground rides on the lively promenade. Chances are younger kids will adore an afternoon cuddling ponies and romping on the climbing frames at Church Farm – Stow Bardolph (25 minutes), while the buggy safaris at Watatunga Wildlife Reserve (20 minutes) are also popular for trails leading past water buffalo and all manner of rare deer breeds roaming free on grassland. There are owls and peacocks at Norfolk Lavender – where you can also pick up souvenir plants and tour the extensive gardens – or make for RSPB Snettisham (both 35 minutes) to see avocets and terns paddling on the lagoons.
