Caravan and Motorhome Club (CAMC) members looking to explore the attractions of northern Norfolk, head to Green Farm Certificated Location. A 10-minute drive from the market town of Holt, this peaceful site puts you within fairly easy reach of stately homes such as the National Trust's Blickling Estate (15 minutes’ drive), North Sea beaches (20 minutes), and wildlife-spotting locations such as Cley and Salthouse Marshes (20 minutes) and Blakeney National Nature Reserve (25 minutes). Level touring pitches occupy an expansive and immaculately maintained green fringed by hedges and tall trees, with plenty of room for children to race each other across the lawn or kick a ball. Your dog – a welcome guest here – can also join in the activities, though you might prefer to take it on a proper walk along any of the public footpaths in the area. Dogs on leads are also allowed at Beeston & Sheringham Commons (15 minutes), a Site of Special Scientific Interest where you might see colourful butterflies flitting around a pond (plus kingfishers and herons), and at Blakeney Point; please note, there are restricted areas here during nesting bird season (April to mid-August) and seal pupping season (mid-October to mid-January). The seafront promenade at Cromer (20 minutes) also allows dogs on leads. Although there are no toilets or showers on site (so make sure that everything is in full working order in your caravan), there is electricity and water, plus chemical waste disposal.

Liked Relaxed attitude to pitches. Lovely gardens and animals if you were bringing children. Exactly as described - good price, no block but electric hook up and communal water/waste

Liked We found it a bit hard to find, but what a quiet and relaxed site. Only 5 of us there but all had electric hook up.
It said in details that no toilet or shower block, but still very nice.

Local attractions

In addition to a Blue Flag beach, Cromer (20 minutes’ drive) has a pretty town centre lined with fishermen’s cottages. At the top of the long Victorian pier, the Pavilion Theatre puts on live music and the Seaside Special variety show. Along (or just beyond) the seafront promenade are fish and chip shops, miniature golf and an arts centre. You don’t have to be a military-history buff to find the displays at the Muckleburgh Military Collection (20 minutes) interesting. From light weapons to heavy tanks, military hardware fills the halls here. For an interactive twist on the exhibits, it’s also possible to take a ride in some of the vehicles. The 11th-century cathedral in Norwich (45 minutes) has a tall spire and an elegant cloister centred around a labyrinth. When strolling under the vaults (of both the cathedral and the cloister), don’t forget to look up and admire the elaborate roof bosses depicting stories from the Old and New Testaments.
