Immerse yourself in nature without going off the beaten track at West Farm, a small rural retreat in Cambridgeshire with easy access to the A14. This laidback site is set in the grounds of a working farm, with facilities including a chemical disposal point, water, toilets and showers. While staying here, you'll have ample opportunities to while away the time watching the farm's herd of pedigree Devon cattle grazing in the adjacent fields, while wildlife like moorhens, owls, red kites and deer lay on entertainment with their antics throughout the day and night. West Farm is in the eastern part of Cambridgeshire on the edge of the small village of Easton. Because you're so close to the A14, it really is a doddle to get around, whether you're heading to Huntingdon (10 minutes' drive), the nearest market town, or are aiming for day trips to Cambridge (35 minutes) and its historic universities. If your kids need entertaining, the site has plenty of space for building dens in the evening (ask site staff and they can provide materials). There are also dozens of places for scenic country walks in the surrounding area, with the owners happy to suggest their favourite spots to newcomers.
