Trawling the net for a top fishing site where you can spend your next holiday? Sort yourself a break at Clay Farm, a rural spot in Clows Top, Worcestershire with pretty waterside views and a handful of well-maintained pitches next to its ponds. This spacious place has a relaxed feel, so it’s a pleasant option for settling in – and chilling out – in the countryside, even when you’re not angling. But if you are? There’s a large 12-foot deep pool filled with common, mirror, crucian and grass carp weighing up to 25lbs, with lots of tree cover for when shelter is needed. Clay Farm's small carp pool is excellent for younger fishing fans looking to dip their toe in the sport, and there’s another pond containing tench, roach, bream and chub.​ (Fishing comes at an extra charge, payable on site.) In terms of amenities, Clay Farm is towards the simpler end of the scale, with well-maintained toilets but no on-site shower facilities. And as for off-site attractions? Head to the Wyre Forest National Nature Reserve (five minutes’ drive) to stretch your legs, or peer at the exotic creatures at West Midland Safari Park (20 minutes).

A quiet, tidy spot with great views, perfect for chilling out. Guests loved the friendly hosts, roomy pitches, and fishing. Toilets are basic but clean. A few missed showers/washing-up areas, but the value and peace mean folks keen to come back.

Liked Basic, beautiful and very peaceful just what the doctor ordered.
We spend 3 nights facing out over the field and the beautiful views.
Single toilet for each sex where kept very clean and even though the small site was busy there was never a queue.
I spent a day fishing the bottom pool and caught some lovely carp. Will definitely back be back again to chill and recharge.

Disliked It’s not a dislike but if all caravans/motorhomes should park facing out towards the field which gives everyone loads of room to pitch awning on the edge of the grass and then park your car on the other side of the caravan on hard standing.

Liked Love this little site. It is great for visiting family locally and giving our dogs walks after our long journey from home.

Disliked Wish the shower was available. Other campers had left the gents loo in a disgusting state had ch we cleared up!

From the manager: I am sorry that the toilets were dirty. We clean them twice a day, but sadly cannot be there after every use. It is very disappointing that guests do not clean after they have used them.
The shower will be available soon, we are just waiting for the system to allow guests to pay for use.

Liked It's a beautiful well kept site. With everything you need. And all the owners are lovely people. Good fishing for all ages, dog friendly. excellent pubs near by eat or drink.
And only a short drive to local towns
