  • Luxury lodges with hot tubs at a Staffordshire farm near Tamworth
  • Drayton Manor five minutes' drive; 25 minutes to Birmingham
  • Alpaca walks and free fishing on site; golf and wild swimming close by
Country walks, fishing, golf, wild swimming, garden visits – there’s an excellent range of rural pursuits nearby when you stay at Pool House Farm Pods. One activity you won't have to get involved with, though, is making your way down lots of little country lanes. Handily, this Staffordshire site is easily accessed from the A4091, and it's a doddle to get to from the M42 or M6 Toll. That location also means that lots of those activities are really close by – Cliff Lakes, Kingsbury Water Park, Middleton Hall & Gardens and The Belfry Golf Course are all within a 10-minute drive of the farm, and Drayton Manor Resort is a mere five-minute drive away. Football fans may also like to note that Aston Villa’s training ground is just over the road… It’s not all about getting out and about, though, because this farm also has activity options on site – you may like to join an alpaca walk with one of the seven woolly resident alpacas, or settle at one of the 22 well-spaced pegs over at the fishing lake (fishing is free of charge for guests). There’s also the very distinct possibility that you may like to spend some time hanging out in your pod – these are, after all, some pretty luxurious little cabins. Each one has its own well-equipped kitchen, an ensuite bathroom, a TV and a big, comfy sofa to flop out on. Bedding and towels are provided, and there’s heating and air con to keep the temperature just right at all times. Outside there’s a spacious deck that's home to the real highlight: your own private hot tub for an evening bubbling away under the stars.
