  • Well-connected dog-friendly site in a Staffordshire village
  • A 20-minute drive from Cannock Chase; 35 minutes from Alton Towers
  • Pubs, canal and village green a short walk away; barbecues permitted
Setting off to Staffordshire to visit theme parks, castles or the cycle-friendly landscapes at Cannock Chase? Ryelands Campsite is a dog-friendly village site well-situated for an easy escape and some quality downtime, 20 minutes’ drive away from Cannock Chase’s outdoor activities haven and 35 minutes from Alton Towers for those of you with an adventurous streak. It doesn’t matter how old or young you are… this small site is a good place to really unwind and let yourself enjoy the simple pleasures. There’s fresh running water on tap near the site entrance and portable toilets, plus permission to whip out a barbecue if that’s a favourite pastime of yours. The site is on the edge of the scenic village of Weston, on the A518 towards Stafford, meaning that you’ll be well-position to get away to its shops and sights. You’ll also be in a prime position to probe into the local pubs, as the nearest pub is two minutes’ walk down the road and there are another two pubs five minutes’ walk away. The village green is another scenic spot to set down, perhaps with a picnic laid out. Or, there’s the river Trent and the canal for a waterside walk, under five minutes’ walk away from the site.
