What customers say
Great spot! Peaceful, spacious, remote views. Nigel's friendly. Good fire pits & walks. Basic loos/track could be better. Perfect for a natural, back-to-basics break.

Amazing wild adventure! Breathtaking location. Spotless facilities!
Unpowered grass and earth campervan site
Liked An absolute, amazing wild adventure!!
Thoroughly recommend this great escape to the Shropshire Hills. This was our 3rd time sleeping under the stars at Lower Vessons and it never disappoints.
Initially we slept in hammocks in the private woodland and cooked lamb on a split made from the hazel. We spent the evenings watching the wildlife and practicing bushcraft skills.
Our other adventures were in the fields, where we stayed in tents. The campsite is unique in offering spectacular views, star gazing opportunities and a very short walk to the Stiperstones!
Eastridge mountain bike trails are located directly adjacent to the farm and can be accessed in minutes.
The owners restrict numbers in order to offer solitude and peace but are also extremely attentive if you require anything. We were offered logs for our camp and help if we needed anything. We were even shown the horses!
Absolutely recommend this stay. We were fully aware of what we signed up to and even though the showers and toilets are portable, they're spotlessly clean and the showers are very powerful! The water was relatively warm given the hot weather too.
If you want to escape from the hustle and bustle of life, I really recommend Lower Vesson. You're truly in the wild but only a few miles from several pubs, that offer great food, drink and hospitality.
Thank you to Imogen for being a fab host! We will be back - our favourite place to go!

Liked Quiet site, lots of room. Views are superb!
Disliked Long walk to get water. Bins full, no recycling. Pitches all slope
Recommend to friends Visit again
From the manager: We send a detailed email to clients advising them to bring large water carriers with them , each morning we collect empty carriers fill them and return to the pitch , we recognise this will not suit everyone but most accept the amount of space and privacy we give our clients make it impractical to provide a water supply close to each of our pitches which are approximately 50 meters apart so would require a stand pipe to each pitch which we don’t feel is in keeping with the high profile Natural experience we offer . All recycling is done by our bin provider I did notice on the occasion mentioned clients had left rubbish next to a full bin rather than walk aprox 5 meters to another half empty bin , both bins are now next to each other !

Liked Very friendly and helpful host. Beautiful view from the field. Clean portable toilets.
Disliked Not flat pitches.
Recommend to friends Visit again
From the manager: This review is factually incorrect we have flat pitches I agree some are gently sloping but the above comment is incorrect in that it implies none of our pitches are flat we offer a semi wild camping experience which in its self may remind clients very few fields are snooker table flat fortunately as you can see from the majority of the reviews we get that are 10/10 slopping pitches are seldom a problem most clients are astounded by the amount of space and privacy we offer between pitches
